Back over hurdles after falling on three of his four chase starts, but won when putting in a clear round on the other (form solid). Looks well treated here on form over hurdles back in 2015 and with likely conditions fine, can't be discounted if confidence not affected.
Knew how to win races for Nigel Twiston-Davies (2m and quick ground ideal) but needs to improve on first run for his new yard when well beaten at Killarney after seven months off. Will strip fitter here but still a bit to prove.
Wins in his turn and Ruby Walsh an interesting jockey booking (a win and a second from two rides on the horse). Likely conditions ideal and although recent form uninspiring, a return to form would be no big surprise if the market spoke strongly in his favour.
Has looked regressive for a while and although not totally disgraced on latest start, doesn't look like a winner in waiting and may require more of a trip.
This trip fine and handles most ground, but well beaten on latest start and has burst blood vessels in the past. Plenty to prove at present and others preferred.
Came with a late rattle to take a big-field handicap overt this C&D and although raised 8lb for that, looks to have more to offer as that was first handicap start (and was badly hampered). Good ground clearly suits and no reason why he won't progress again.
Second to Labaik over this C&D last October (after a mammoth absence) looks all the better given that one's exploits since, but he's not built on that and was well beaten when last seen. Short break may have done him good, so not discounted, but others preferred.
Winner of a bumper and maiden hurdle last year, so has ability, but can race keenly and pulled chance away when last seen out in October. May need this after a break and best watched.
On a fair mark based on his chase form (won one at Tramore last year from 8lb higher) and far from disgraced behind Bobabout here last time, that being his first run for five months Could get closer here but lacks the scope of that one, and may have to settle for the places.
Forecasts
Bobabout (11/4), Ballyoisin (3/1), Top Othe Ra (8/1), Old Castletown (8/1), Mr Antolini (9/1), My Manekineko (10/1), The King Of Brega (11/1), Prickly (12/1), Moonday Sun (14/1), Theophilus (25/1)
BOBABOUT overcame all sorts of trouble in running to win a handicap at the Festival here in April and should have plenty more to come. He's taken to get the better of Ballyoisin, still well handicapped on old form despite top weight and may appreciate being returned to hurdles. Old Castletown and Top Othe Ra may fight out the minor money.
