Won a Listed race in Italy towards the end of last year but disappointing on his only subsequent start. Needs to have taken a big step forward if he's to get involved here though and looks a likely outsider.
Very smart performer over further than 2m but probably a little vulnerable off this weight over 1m6f. Usually gives his running and both trainer and jockey have a good strike-rate here so not dismissed out of hand.
Good second at Newmarket last time out, staying on well but gone up 2lb for that. This looks a deeper contest and others probably a little better handicapped.
Four wins from eight starts last year and well suited to a quick surface. Respectable second of five at Lingfield in March but yard form has to be a concern here and best watched on return to turf.
Looks to be on a fair mark on his return to the Flat and claiming jockey certainly worth her 5lb allowance. Won over a variety of trips on the Flat and on a range of different ground so he looks one of the more interesting runners for a trainer who runs very few in this sphere.
Three wins from his last five starts and sent off favourite for the Chester Cup last time out. Very disappointing in that affair but he's a useful front runner with less miles on the clock than many of these and should give it a good go from the front.
Good fourth in the Cesarewitch where he met significant interference in the middle-part of the race on final start of 2016. Showed nothing at Chester last time but should come on for that run at least and no doubt he's on a fair mark.
Just two wins from 18 starts across both spheres and shown nothing on the Flat for this yard. Hard to imagine he's well handicapped and cheekpieces need to bring improvement.
One win from 13 starts and that came all the way back in 2015. Hasn't beaten many home on his last five starts and never placed on turf. Wears first-time cheekpieces and hard to fancy.
Good comeback run at Ascot earlier in the month despite missing the break. He should come on for that effort, he's completely unexposed and the yard are in flying form; plenty to like.
Forecasts
Top Tug (10/3), Batts Rock (9/2), Blakeney Point (7/1), Angel Gabrial (7/1), Oriental Fox (15/2), The Cashel Man (8/1), Manjaam (9/1), Glaring (14/1), High Secret (20/1), Cosmelli (33/1), Ballynanty (33/1)
THE CASHEL MAN was disappointing at Chester on his comeback but his run on the final start of last season was a fine effort and there's a good chance he's still very well handicapped. Batts Rock has an unexposed profile and with the yard flying, he should run well and build on his reappearance at Ascot last time. Paul Nicholls doesn't have many runners on the Flat but High Secret looks on a fair mark and should go well with a useful 5lb claimer in the saddle.
