Looks marginally more effective on the AW than turf and better turf efforts have come on faster ground than this. Likely to struggle from a mark this high carrying top weight.

Running consistently well on the AW of late but perhaps a little vulnerable returned to turf on soft ground. Clearly progressive so far from ruled out if she can bring her AW form to the table and the booking of this jockey is likely to be significant.

Has been effective on turf but slower ground is a question mark and recent form has been a little disappointing. Probably up against it from this mark.

Enjoyed her return to turf with a win at Doncaster last month and there should be more to come now she has regained the winning thread. Showed form on soft ground as a juvenile so she's a leading player in this line up with more to come.

Won this last year but ground conditions were very different then and she's likely to struggle this time around having shown very little form since. Still on a higher mark and has developed stalls issues so she probably best watched this year, returning from a break.

Well suited to a straight course but also appears to be well suited to faster ground than what she will get here. Booking of the Champion Jockey is a positive sign and on a feasible mark; not dismissed lightly.

Won at Epsom last summer but not beaten many home in four start since. Probably better on the AW than turf and this sort of ground unlikely to suit. Looks opposable.

One win from 14 starts but not beaten far last time at Doncaster when she finished behind Florenza and Hells Babe. Could come on for that run but she is a bit of a hit and miss character and her best efforts have come on a faster surface to this.

One win from 11 starts and that came around the tight turns of Chester. Has been running well in defeat since and not ruled out but she has less scope for improvement than some in here.

Forecasts

Hells Babe (4/1), Florenza (5/1), Carolinae (5/1), Dark Intention (11/2), Lavetta (6/1), Lil Sophella (7/1), Company Asset (8/1), Bint Arcano (9/1), Shypen (14/1), Nouvelli Dancer (20/1)

16:35 York - 19 May 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

It will be interesting to see if the form of HELLS BABE's win at Doncaster holds up. She gives the impression there's more to come this year and may confirm the form with Florenza and Company Asset. Carolinae is a progressive sort and she's interesting if she can transfer her AW form to turf. The consistency of Dark Intention should see her run a place.
  1. Hells Babe
  2. Carolinae
  3. Dark Intention
