Was dropped into this grade last time at Southwell and it almost did the trick, being just held in a tight finish. Raised 1lb for that, but is the class act here and with trip no problem he should be very competitive, especially if the rains come.

Now 8lb lower than when scoring over 1m2f at Pontefract (good to firm) in August after being almost completely out of sorts since. Acts on anything with good in the description, though most winning for on faster ground and a return to form cannot be ruled out.

Has shown his best form over 1m. Without a win for almost 18 months, but has gone well enough on his last two starts here from 1lb lower, though stamina is clearly a cause for concern.

Went close at Lingfield last time (1m2f, good) from this mark. That gives cause for optimism here, as she has similar conditions and hails from a yard that has hit a bit of form. Entitled to short-list consideration.

Has won 6-55, the last four being over this trip. Now 8lb lower than the best of those successes, so looks well handicapped and was not disgraced over shorter on his return after a break last time. Interesting.

Usually competitive at around both this trip and mark, having scored from 1lb higher here last summer (1m3½f). Didn't quite reach those heights back over that particular trip here last time and needs to find a bit more than recent efforts, though cannot be ruled out.

Has picked up some prize money just twice from nine starts so far and has struggled in handicaps, making the frame in a seller last time (1m2f). Not easy to fancy back in this grade.

It's almost two years since he last won a race and he now goes into this one from a 13lb lower mark than that day at Goodwood. Has been unable to stop that losing run over a variety of trips and in spite of that slide in the weights and it is hard to enthuse about his chance on recent evidence.

1-14 on turf, with his best form very much being on the All Weather. Well beaten in all but his first start this season and not looking likely to stop the rot on this occasion.

Up 4lb for winning at Chelmsford last time (1m2f) and his CV suggests that he will struggle to cope with that rise, while he was last on his only try on turf, so has a fair bit to prove this time.

Runner-up over 7f at Chelmsford from a mark of 45 in January has been her best effort so far and never a threat when tried over this trip last time. Others make more appeal.

Well beaten in all starts so far, including the last two in handicaps. Returns after a break and now makes his second start for Alan Bailey, but is out of the handicap and very hard to fancy.
