Has been runner-up in one of these and two maidens over 6f-7f on a variety of going, including fast. Only just held at Redcar on his reappearance/first run after being gelded last month and he should again be very competitive.

Gelded last year and didn't see the racecourse at two. Has run with credit on both starts so far, tried over this trip at Redcar and then Thirsk and making slight improvement in the latter. Probably going to need to raise his game to win this.

Another who had to wait until this year to make his debut, though in his case he has been well beaten at both Doncaster and Thirsk, both over today's trip. Looking for some improvement on that here, but best watched at present.

Runner-up four times in seven starts at 5f-6f, including on fast and soft ground. Well beaten on handicap debut at Ripon last month and now returns to this company and is upped in trip. That may help and he should again be competitive, but clearly also vulnerable.

Was runner-up in one of these at Ascot on his debut last year (6f, good to firm). Returned after being gelded when a close-up third over 1m at Newbury last month. On the strength of that, this drop in trip looks a good move and it may well enable him to break his duck.

Ran green before staying on well on her Redcar debut in a 6f maiden (good to firm) recently. She was 40/1 that day, so it was probably a bit better than expected. Steps up in trip here and has the former champ up, so all looks set for her to raise the bar this time and she can get much closer.

Well beaten in all three starts last year and returns to the track with a fair bit of improving to do even to take a hand here. Stable not fully firing either, so looks one to take a watching brief about today.

3,000 gns yearling. Half-sister to 1m2½f and 1m4f winner Time For Action and another 1m2f winner. Dam won over 7f-1m and is a full-sister to Italian Group One winner Rainbow Peak out of a 1m winning half-sister to Celtic Swing. Nice pedigree then and a market check looks prudent, though yard's runners tend to come on for their debuts.

Forecasts

Red Royalist (11/10), Benjamin Thomas (15/8), Komodo (5/1), Daira Bridge (13/2), Hindsight (14/1), Rag Tatter (14/1), Powercell (40/1), New Tale (66/1), Orientelle (100/1)

14:20 Wetherby - 15 May 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Rag Tatter has been knocking on the door and the extra furlong may help him find what is required, though he is clearly vulnerable. Daira Bridge should do better for his Redcar debut, while Benjamin Thomas should also be competitive. Southern raider Red Royalist will be popular and a win would not surprise now dropped in trip, but it may be worth chancing HINDSIGHT, who outperformed market expectations at Redcar and should benefit from going further and from this top jockey booking.
  1. Hindsight
  2. Red Royalist
  3. Daira Bridge
