Horse silk
20/1
Runner-up in a couple of bumpers but couldn't go with them at the business end on his hurdles debut at Fontwell last time and slightly shorter trip leaves him a bit more to prove.
2
Horse silk
16/1
Put up his best effort over hurdles at Stratford last time, though still has a fair bit to work on. Handicapper has yet to make an assessment of his abilities and he will probably do better once that has happened.

Maiden from 16 point-to-points and a maiden hurdle which was in Ireland three years ago. First start for this yard over a trip that is too short, so looks best watched today.

7/2
Placed in a bumper and took a little while to better that over hurdles, but went well over a similar trip to this at Bangor (good to soft) in January and ran well for a long way before weakening on handicap debut. Now tries a maiden and likely to be very competitive.

16/1
Good pedigree and likely to do better over further in time. Just the one bumper start so far and ran well enough that day on good ground at Chepstow. Has been given some time before this hurdling debut and will be interesting to see what the market makes of his chance.
Place in a point-to-point and put in a promising debut effort over a similar trip at Market Rasen in March. Didn't improve as might have been anticipated over further at Newbury last time, leaving him with a bit to prove today.
Placed in a bumper in 2015 (good) but spent almost a year off before being well beaten in his next start in that sphere. Since joined this top yard and began to show more when runner-up at Ludlow last time (soft). A repeat of that, or further improvement, would make him tough to beat.

Horse silk
10/1
Showed some improvement for the fitting of a tongue tie on his third and final bumper at Newbury in March. Dam was placed in 2m-2m2f hurdles and chases, so there is hope for him over this short, though majority of his pedigree suggests that further will eventually suit better. Market check advised on hurdles debut.

100/1
Last on debut in a Sandown bumper in November and beat just three home when returning at Chepstow in March. May do better over hurdles as dam won a 2m hurdle and is half-sister to 2m3f-3m2f hurdle and chase winner Bold Chief. Probably one to watch on debut in this discipline.

Somewhere To Be95
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: Aidan Coleman| T: M Keighley| OR:  120
11/4
Has shown better form than the majority who have jumped a hurdle in this, both in similar company at Newbury in November and also when last seen at Southwell. A repeat of the latter would give him every chance today.

Thomas Toddh13
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-2| J: R D Day(3)| T: Laura Morgan
40/1
Runner-up in a Kelso bumper in September, though moderate form in two starts over hurdles so far. More likely that he will be seen to better effect when handicapping.
13
Horse silk
100/1
Won a point-to-point at the fourth attempt but yet to show any spark in two hurdles outings. Another who is likely to get more competitive when handicapping.

Majestic Touch (2/1), Somewhere To Be (11/4), Grand Coureur (7/2), Third Estate (5/1), Midnight Chill (10/1), Bomber Command (16/1), Holy Street (16/1), Blue Bullet (20/1), Iskabeg Lane (25/1), Thomas Todd (40/1), Fact Flow (40/1), Monar Lad (100/1), West To Crossgales (100/1)

14:10 Uttoxeter - 6 May 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

There probably won't be too many involved at the business end in this and MAJESTIC TOUCH is taken to win it if he is in anything like the form he was last time out. Midnight Chill is an interesting newcomer who may get involved, while the places can also be contested by Third Estate, Grand Coureur and Holy Street.
  1. Majestic Touch
  2. Grand Coureur
  3. Midnight Chill
