Horse silk
9/1
Benefited from the last-fence fall of Are They Your Own at Fakenham last month, but is generally progressive and should have no problem with this longer trip. Has to concede weight all round which is not ideal.
Odds-on when pulled up in a point-to-point at Clifton-On Dunsmore last time, but had won his two previous starts impressively by 20L. Will take some beating if back on song.
3
Horse silk
20/1
Winner of four point-to-points, but has had jumping issues and a tongue tie and cheekpieces are fitted for the first time. Hard to know what to expect and others look more straightforward.
4
Horse silk
5/1
Irish import. Much improved and a successful point-to-pointer for current stable. Runs under Rules in Britain for the first time and has to be respected.
6
Horse silk
66/1
Two wins in 25 point-to-points, he was beaten 31L when third at Sandon last time. This is tougher so he is readily opposed.
7
Horse silk
12/1
Has a decent strike rate in point-to-points and has won his last two this spring. More is required, but he is still on the upgrade and has sound claims.

7/2
Has won his last three point-to-points by an aggregate of 57L since joining his current yard. Respected pilot was on board for each of those successes and retains the mount. Leading contender sporting a hood for the first time.
Two wins in 12 point-to-points, he could finish only third on his last start at Sheriff Hutton. Needs to find something to take a hand against this better opposition.
Getting his act together in point-to-points after an inauspicious start, but this is a higher level than he is used to and others make more appeal.

16/1
Five wins from 25 starts in point-to-points, he was second at Lydstep last month. Wears cheekpieces for the first time and has an each-way squeak.
Has been running with credit between the flags, but this is a step up in grade. Wears cheekpieces for the first time as connections look to eke out improvement.

20/1
Consistent point-to-pointer, but no match for Alfstar at Whitfield in March and it is difficult to envisage him turning the tables.
14
Horse silk
66/1
Only two wins in 24 point-to-points and has been beaten a long way on his four starts since joining his current stable. One of the less fancied contenders.
Good strike rate in point-to-points and was carried out when in with every chance two fences from home at Hornby Castle last month. Had been in good form before that mishap and has each-way prospects.
16
Horse silk
12/1
Irish import who has shown promise in point-to-points, winning three of his nine starts. Relatively short on experience compared to some of his rivals, but is improving and is respected.

A winner and runner-up in four starts for her current trainer. Needs to find something to trouble the best of these, but should run her race.

Plenty to consider in an open race and the one who catches the eye is FLY WEST, who is on a roll and has the services of a top jockey in this sphere. Colorado Doc is a threat if his jumping holds up, while Alfstar, Pride Of Parish and Chosen Lucky have solid credentials.
  1. Fly West
  2. Alfstar
  3. Colorado Doc
