Contested several Group races on the level in Europe including a runner-up effort at Capannelle in a Group 3 contest in 2015 and a Listed win in Italy in 2014. Showed very little on debut for this yard back in March and then not without market support at Exeter on Wednesday but raced too keen and unseated his rider after a bad mistake at the third fence. Good sign he's turned out again quickly but looks a risky prospect on the evidence of his two starts in this sphere.

One win from 17 starts on the Flat, refusing to race on his two most recent starts. Starts out for a new yard here but likely to find this a tough test and he's clearly not a straightforward customer.

Not completely unfancied in a bumper on debut (8/1 shot) but took a keen hold and struggled. Very disappointing follow up effort at Lingfield last time when tailed off. Will probably struggle to land a blow on hurdles debut.

Moderate performer on the AW, last seen finishing eighth of 11 at Kempton on Monday. Did run well at this course on debut in a bumper back in 2015 and booking of this jockey is a positive but yard are better known for the runners on the Flat (not had a NH winner in the past 12 months) and he would need to step up on his efforts on the AW and improve for the step up in trip if he's to take a hand.

10/11
Came close to getting his head in front on the Flat and has seemingly enjoyed the switch to this sphere, only narrowly denied on both starts. Followed up a promising runner-up effort over C&D with a smart run at Kempton last time when just caught on the line. Should keep on progressing and sets the standard on form.

€65,000 private buy and a half-brother to a French 2m hurdle winner. Showed very little when outpaced and tailed off on debut; with some stamina on his dam's side, he may want a little further with time.
7
Horse silk
7/1
Won a claimer on the AW in France at Cagnes Sur Mere but has a bit to prove after two disappointing efforts in this sphere for new yard.
8
Horse silk
100/1
Unplaced and well beaten on all seven Flat starts and shown nothing on his two starts in this sphere and has a tendency to jump and hang right. Hard to enthuse about.
10
Horse silk
3/1
Unplaced on all six outings on the Flat up to 2m but took to this discipline over C&D last time. The rival that finished directly behind him has come out and won since; form looks a good enough level to play some sort of part here.

Forecasts

Burning Heat (10/11), Tynecastle Park (3/1), Azari (11/2), Ocean Eleven (6/1), Hatem (7/1), Shining Romeo (20/1), Danseur Du Large (25/1), Sam's A Diamond (66/1), Free One (100/1), Norse Castle (100/1)

16:40 Huntingdon - 28 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Paul Nicholls is likely to find the key to Azari at some point and he was the subject of market support last time but he looks a risky betting proposition in his current mood and he may need more time than the two days he's been given between runs. BURNING HEAT looks like the one to beat after two runner-up efforts and having proved himself over C&D, he's taken to score in what looks like a sub-standard maiden. Ocean Eleven could be an interesting recruit from the Flat and any market support would be significant for him and Tynecastle Park appeared to improve for the switch of discipline over C&D last time and should go well again.
  1. Burning Heat
  2. Ocean Eleven
  3. Tynecastle Park
