Speed to burn and there aren't too many that like to lead here, so may get his own way in front. Good third to the classy Stepper Point on reappearance at Windsor earlier in the week and quick reappearance suggests he taken that well. Solid chance.

Goes well here, and is a winner of three of his four starts over this C&D. Recent comeback effort suggested his turn wasn't far away either, and with top jockey taking over in the saddle, a big run would not surprise.

Bit hit-and-miss but capable sprinter on his day, and second to Confessional last October showed he's still on a fair mark, but didn't show enough on recent comeback run to suggest he's about to strike.

Came good at Newcastle last October but handicapper reacted harshly, raining him 7lb for a length win, and he's found life hard since. Not disgraced on recent effort back at Newcastle but handicapper looks to have him in his grip at present.

Turned into a win machine last year, improving throughout the season and based on recent effort at Bath when just denied (by a head) he's about ready to strike again. No easy task from this mark but tough and genuine, and not discounted.

The market usually tells you when he's ready to win, as it did when backed into favouritism for his last win at Wetherby last year. Looked like he badly needed recent run after almost seven months off and best watched at present.

Progressed nicely last year, winning a couple and not beaten far at all in a better class race than this at York, doing some good late work. Redcar run a fortnight ago will have blown the cobwebs away and he should be competitive from this mark.

Couple of wins (in class 5 company) last year and generally consistent, but handicapper had his say after his win at Beverley and has has found things harder since. Decent enough effort on comeback but may needs sights lowering before scoring again.

No win on the card since 2015 and handicapper isn't really cutting him a lot of slack, but on the plus side did run well here in September when second in a big field when second to Singeur. May require softer ground to show his best, and others preferred today.

Got his first win for a couple of years when getting up on the line to force a dead-heat at Ripon and picks up no penalty for that as it was an apprentices race. Obvious chances from the same mark then, with likely conditions ideal, and yard still among the winners.

Would carry most of this lot on the form he as showing a couple of seasons ago (rated in the 90's at the time) but it's been a tale of woe for a year or so now and despite plummeting mark, makes little appeal.

Only the five starts so far and made a good start to his career, finishing second on his debut at Newcastle and then following up at Beverley, but found life hard in handicaps after and on first run since September, is best watched.

There seems no reason that FOXTROT KNIGHT won't go close here as he's on the same mark as his latest win, has his conditions again and the yard continue in decent form. He should get a nice tow into this with Musharrif in stall 9 to take him into the race and can get on top late. Laughton is the sort to do better this season and he should strip fitter for a recent run. Bashiba has an interesting jockey booking and can go close at a track he likes.
