Flattered to deceive on a few occasions recently and looks one to be wary of at present. Is a previous C&D winner from a 9lb higher mark, so is attractively weighted if he consents to pulling out all the stops under topweight.

Uninspiring form figures make it very difficult to make a case for him; especially as he has never even been placed from 7 previous attempts on an AW surface.

Kept very busy during the winter AW season, with his best form posted at Kempton; but noteworthy that he has also won over C&D from a 3lb higher mark as recently as February, so comes into the reckoning on the pick of his form. This is his level, so worthy of consideration.

Took a good while for the penny to drop with him but he has got his act together well on the AW tracks. Culminating with a win at Chelmsford last month. Held off a revised mark at Kempton next time out, he now has something to prove as he races from the same rating here.

Form has taken a dip since he made all to win a couple of low-grade races at Kempton in January. Now starting to get some respite from the handicapper but is still 3lb higher than he was for his last success; so needs everything to go his way if he runs his usual race.

Holding his form well at the moment but has continued to find at least a couple have been better treated at the weights. However, it's very feasible this new venture will bring about some improvement; and it will be interesting to note how the betting market reacts to him making his debut on Lingfield's Polytrack surface (coped well on his only try previous try on the surface at Kempton.) Support is not without risks but he may be good value if he adapts.

Been placed nine times on the AW surfaces but yet to get his head in front when it really matters. Best effort when second to Krazy Paving over C&D last year but looks to face a stiff test in his attempt to reverse the placings on these terms.

Left the form of his first three starts well behind when winning on his handicap debut over C&D last month. That was a poor race though and the fact he was raised just 2lb gives a solid indication to the level he achieved. Respected but faces more of an acid test this time around.

Forecasts

New Rich (3/1), Mr Chuckles (7/2), Termsnconditions (9/2), Noble Deed (11/2), Krazy Paving (11/2), The Big Short (7/1), Justice Rock (12/1), Whaleweigh Station (16/1), Silver Wings (20/1)

17:50 Lingfield - 26 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A quick reappearance by THE BIG SHORT is taken as a significant pointer towards his current well being and he is fancied to expand upon the recent haul claimed by his in-form yard. Mr Chuckles will be a threat if he copes with the new challenge of racing at Lingfield, while Whaleweigh Station is likely to ensure there will be no hanging about and will be dangerous if he allowed to slip the noose. Termsnconditions won a weak race last time out buit is unexposed in handicaps and is another to pay attention to when the betting starts to warm up in earnest.
  1. The Big Short
  2. Mr Chuckles
  3. Whaleweigh Station
