Winner of the "Leger Legends" race at Doncaster last year when making all the running and in no danger from some way out. Headgear applied there and drop back in trip seemed to work the oracle, and only 2lb higher here. Chances if fit after his break.

Turf form nowhere near as good as his all-weather exploits, and has only hit the frame once in seven starts. In good form on the sand surfaces when last seen but mark high enough now, and questionable whether he can reproduce that form today anyway.

Had looked regressive but last two efforts have suggested he might be on the way back, running better than finishing position suggested at Lingfield last time (ran very wide off the bend). Good jockey booking and with likely conditions and handicap mark fine, is one of the more interesting ones.

Maiden winner at Newcastle last October but nowhere near as good in three runs since, seemingly with little excuse. Needs to turn her current form around to hold a realistic chance.

Lightly raced but does seem to be getting the hang of things, winning at Lingfield in January and only beaten half a length at Leicester on latest start. Will face quicker ground here but as one that's in-form and going well, has to be considered.

Has ground to make up on Ross Raith Rover on their Leicester form, and hard to see why he should turn it around, given he's far more exposed than that one. Likely conditions fine but clearly beatable, and more likely winners in the field.

Pops up now and then but last two victories have come over 1m2f, and this trip would be a bare minimum for him. Usually needs a run or two to put him right as well, so others are preferred today.

Won a couple at basement level at Kempton this winter, but was a bit disappointing on her latest start and taking a step up in grade here, needs to improve again to get involved. Needs to prove himself on this likely quicker surface as well.

Forecasts

Phosphorescence (7/4), Ross Raith Rover (7/2), Flying Fantasy (9/2), Magic Mirror (9/1), Tyrsal (10/1), Harlequin Rock (14/1), Right Rebel (20/1), Tee It Up Tommo (22/1)

15:50 Yarmouth - 25 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

As long as he can get the better of Right Rebel early on, PHOSPHORESCENCE can make all here. He's shown he can go well fresh and conditions look fine for him to try and repeat his Leger Legends win. Flying Fantasy looks a big danger with the tongue-tie that seemed to spark a bit of improvement last time retained, and the step back up to a mile looks a positive move. Ross Raith Rover can round out the places.
  1. Phosphorescence
  2. Flying Fantasy
  3. Ross Raith Rover
