Won one of these at Southwell on debut (good to soft) in July but well held under penalty next time and thrashed in Listed company last time. Has to concede weight again and that looks tough.

Half-brother to 2m6f chase and 3m1f hurdle winner Takingrisks. Dam unplaced in bumpers, hurdles and chases and half-sister to a point-to-point winner. Everything suggests that she will do better with time and a trip.

Makes limited appeal on pedigree but still picked up for £12,000. Stable have had a good year in these races, though well beaten on debut at Market Rasen earlier in the month. Looking for some improvement this time. Market check advised.

Bred for speed and despite 20/1 SP she showed up very well on debut at Bangor last month keeping on well for fourth. With some natural improvement for that experience she should be a leading contender today.
Out of a bumper-winning mare who is a half-sister to a 2m1f-3m hurdle and chase winner in Victorias Groom. Plenty of stamina on both sides of the pedigree but this is a good starting point from a yard that does well with its mares and is 12% in this discipline. Market check advised.

Improved on her Carlisle debut when fourth, beating the favourite but over 8L behind once who conceded her plenty of weight. Nonetheless, can improve again here and if the combi of hood and tongue strap work she could land a blow.

Half-sister to bumper winner Tom Lamb. Out of a mare who was placed in bumpers and a 2m1f hurdle and who is half-sister to a number of bumper winners. No surprise to see her beat everything bar the wide margin winner on debut last month and she should go close today.

Dam won over both hurdles and fences in France and is a half-sister to other French hurdling winners, including at Grade Two level and also the dam of Long Run. Cost just €1,800 as a foal. Very interesting debutante for whom a market check is advised with yard 13% in this sphere and going well.
Lovely pedigree, being by Shirocco (sire of Annie Power) out of the Cheltenham Festival Grade Two Mares' Hurdle winner Whiteoak. Plenty green enough on Catterick debut last month but will come on for that and can take a closer hand in proceedings.

Forecasts

Jane Lamb (15/8), Tierra Verde (4/1), Lostnfound (7/1), Valdas Princess (7/1), Lady Valerie (7/1), Heartasia (8/1), Whiteoak Stroller (16/1), Tickerty Boo (20/1), Barely Black (50/1)

17:20 Wetherby - 23 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

One of the more interesting races on the card and it can go to LOSTNFOUND, who represents a stable going well and with a respectable record in these contests. Whiteoak Stroller is feared, along with Jane Lamb and Tierra Verde, while Valdas Princess has the pedigree to suggest that she too can show up well on debut.
  1. Lostnfound
  2. Whiteoak Stroller
  3. Jane Lamb
