Had Crackeldoust 8L behind at Musselburgh in February and, having chased home a subsequent winner at Fakenham, opened his account over C&D with a hard fought victory in a weaker race than this promises to be. Trainer has a fabulous 13-29 record here for a 14 point profit.

Disappointed over 2m4f when favourite here last time. Had previously chased home the useful Mr Clarkson (rated 134) over C&D in February. Has 8L to find with Cesar Et Rosalie, on Musselburgh running in February, but is 7lb better off at the weights.

Won on debut over 2m for Aidan O'Brien and proved most disappointing for Michael Bell last year. Headgear worn on the Flat most recently is removed and he is best watched for now.

A winner over hurdles in France last year, she was a beaten favourite on her debut for this yard at Wincanton in February and could not go with them in either the Fred Winter at Cheltenham or at Warwick last time. Far too soon to be writing off and opposition not as strong here, so, with the allowances in her favour, she should get competitive. Yard are 9-24 here.

Forecasts

Crackdeloust (5/4), Cesar Et Rosalie (11/8), Fadas (4/1), Giant Redwood (33/1)

17:55 Sedgefield - 19 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Fadas has been highly tried of late and is feared given her mare's allowance and the stable's success rate here with their hurdlers. CRACKDELOUST is closely matched with Cesar Et Rosalie on running at Musselburgh and may have found 2m4f too far last time. A previous defeat by the useful Mr Clarkson gives him a solid chance here in receipt of 7lb from the topweight. Neil Mulholland is another trainer who excels here with his hurdlers and Cesar Et Rosalie was not winning out of turn last time over this C&D. He probably ran no better that day than when a flattering 1L second to a 116 rated horse at Fakenham and it is difficult to argue that he can concede weight to Fadas and Crackdeloust.
  1. Crackdeloust
  2. Fadas
  3. Cesar Et Rosalie
