Shown very little in two career starts and may need this run after an absence. Trainer 6-26 in bumpers over the past five seasons but still hard to see him being good enough.

Has looked unlucky not to have landed a bumper yet. Squandered an easier opportunity than this at Wexford last time and on the verge of becoming frustrating.

Winner of a point-to-point at the fourth attempt at Dromahane in December. Sent off favourite that day and three future winners came out of that race. Travelled well before fading over 2m2f on bumper debut but will come on for that run.
Well beaten third on bumper debut and showed some promise over hurdles last month. Likely to find a few of these too good in this.
Has shown little in point-to-points but gave her connections something to work with judged on her hurdling debut last month. Yard had a winner last week so cannot be dismissed lightly.

Promise in all four races and significant improvement on latest start when getting a sound surface for the first time. Bids to give rider his first winner under rules.

Two best relatives, Midnight Shot and Rustic Gold, had a preference for good ground which gives ground for optimism. Has shown clear ability on softer ground in his two previous starts.

Has looked only moderate in point-to-points and sole hurdles start. Will gain respect based on connections but harder to do so judged on form.

Point-to-point form in 2015 shows a third to the useful British pair of Robin Roe and Laser Light before picking up a more modest prize. Passed through the sales ring for £100,000 five days later and this is his first sighting since. Obviously in good hands, and not too highly tried on rules debut, but the market needs to confirm his wellbeing.

Cost €3,800 in August 2015. Sire is a Group Two winner over 7f in the US and the dam was a dual winning hurdler. Has failed to complete on his point-to-point and chase debuts. Stable are 6-93 in bumpers over the past five seasons.

Last of 14 on bumper debut and subsequently pulled up when sent hurdling. It is hard to be positive about her prospects.

Dam has produced three winners for the yard including triple winner Toushan. Has run better than his final placings indicate in both starts to date. Represents a yard who are 1-88 in bumpers over the past five seasons.

Some solid efforts in defeat and has met some decent horses along the way, recent fifth in what could be a good race for the grade means he holds every chance of getting in the places at least.

17:50 Cork - 16 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A record of nine wins in 25 bumpers for a 36 percent strike at this track is, surprisingly, below average for Willie Mullins. Minella Beau has some decent form in point-to-points but, given the lengthy gap between those runs and today's debut, there must have been some setbacks. The yard have also gone quiet following the Cheltenham/Aintree festivals and pending Punchestown later in the month. He may represent poor value as will Burren Life who has been found wanting when the chips are down. Gagas Horse and Change Your Story are capable of surprising these but FLY RORY FLY only went down by a short head over hurdles at Downpatrick last time. Good ground was the key to a much improved performance and, provided there are no dramatic changes to underfoot conditions, he may prove to be the most reliable option.
  1. Fly Rory Fly
  2. Minella Beau
  3. Change Your Story
