Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: Ryan Tate| T: B R Millman
6/1
Half-brother to 6f 2yo winner Air Of Mystery and 6f 2yo winner Scofflaw. Shaped with promise after a slow start when third on his debut over 5f (good) at Leicester and should be wiser now. Shortlisted.

Not disgraced on his debut at Doncaster but it all happened a bit too quick for him. One of three yard representatives in the race and is probably one for nurseries over further.

A half-brother to a couple of sprint winners and didn't come cheap at $110,000. Yard saddled a debutant winner recently and he merits a place on the short-list if the market speaks favourably.

Changed hands for more money as a yearling than he cost as a foal and is out of a juvenile-winning dam, albeit over 7f. Yard's newcomers invariably worth a second look and this one is no different.

Already gelded but is related to some winners and shaped nicely on his debut in a division of the Brocklesby at Doncaster, keeping on to finish a narrow second to Santry. Has to be respected on that evidence.

Cost just £6,000 and was well adrift of Airshow when a market drifter on his debut over 5f at Leicester (good) last week. Can only improve but a surprise to see him figure.

Cost €10,000 and is a half-brother to winner up to 7f Viedma. Yard not renowned for success with newcomers and not enough in his overall profile to suggest he's an obvious candidate.

€5.500 yearling who hails from a yard which is no stranger to juvenile success and was noted running on in the same maiden as Airshow on his debut, finishing fourth. Sure to improve but arguably not yard's first choice here.

Plenty of speed in his pedigree and dam was a winning juvenile but yard is quiet ahead of his debut and isn't renowned for juvenile success. Market the best guide.

A £40,000 half-brother to a couple of winners, including the useful miler Robemaker. Yard's juveniles always have to be respected and he is clearly one to consider, particularly if the market vibes are positive.

Doesn't particularly catch the eye on breeding and yard has had very little success with juveniles over the years. Surely best watched for now.

Forecasts

Chagatai (7/4), Zalshah (3/1), Demons Rock (9/2), Airshow (6/1), Last Page (7/1), Jonnysimpson (10/1), Shovel It On (14/1), Autumn Lodge (33/1), My Guy (40/1), Uther Pendragon (66/1), Manco Inca (66/1)

17:00 Bath - 14 April 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

There was plenty to like about the respective debut's of Airshow and Last Page and both set a decent standard here but there is a clutch of interesting newcomers waiting in the wings, with the expensive CHAGATAI particularly catching the eye, with the yard having recently saddled a winning juvenile debutant. Zalshah is another one to note.
  1. Chagatai
  2. Airshow
  3. Zalshah
