Jamaican Flight Handicap

Stayed on strongly to win Round Seven of this series last year on good ground, when 15lb lower. Tough enough ask to shoulder top weight to win this, but comes here in cracking form after scoring at Newcastle last time and has to be feared if taking him on.

Well beaten from similar marks since the turn of the year and looks in need of a drop in the weights before he comes up trumps again.

Sole win was in a Sedgefield hurdle last year, with best effort on the Flat being when runner-up in a Navan maiden over 1m5f in 2015. Dropped 3lb since last run in this sphere but hard to fancy on what we have seen.

Have to go back to July 2014 for his last win on the Flat (2m, good to firm) at Ffos Las. 6lb lower going into this and ran in six races in this series last year, going closest in August when a ½L runner-up from 2lb lower. Each way claims.

Not seen on the Flat since defeat from a mark of 65 in June, though did win a staying handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter after that. Has won when fresh in the past and yard had a recent winner too, so interesting to keep a check on any market vibes.

Beaten 10L in Round Four of this last year when 4lb higher. That was his last run on the Flat, while his last win in this sphere was way back in 2012. Stays 2m but not in great form on last two hurdles starts and has a fair bit to prove.

Won one of these in 2015 from an 11lb higher mark but has been unable to add to that success on the Flat, his only win since being over hurdles at Catterick in January. At least that shows that retains some sort of ability. Cheek pieces back on and has never won in any headgear but interesting if supported.

Runner-up three times from 11 starts but yet to break his duck. Stays an extended 2m and should be capable of being competitive from today's mark.

Have to go back a long way to her last Flat success, which was over C&D in October 2014 from 3lb higher than today. Ran well over further here in April last year from 8lb higher, so looks well handicapped in that respect if better for her winter break.

7lb higher than when scoring for the only time at Wolverhampton (2m½f) in February. Well beaten both starts since then and hard to fancy despite yard's good recent form.
