Scrambled home to land a gamble in gritty fashion at Huntingdon last time out; putting a sequence of poor efforts to rest. This doesn't look much tougher but an 8lb rise does mean he needs to be at his very best to follow up.

Yet to win a race and makes limited appeal in his bid to lose his maiden tag in only his second start since June 2014. Has scope for improvement over fences if he can stand up to the rigours of chasing, though.

Won over 3m in an Irish point-to-point and noteworthy that he comes a long way for the modest prize-money. However, his form in Ireland under rules looks pretty ordinary and he needs his jumping to hold together a little better today.

Pulled up in four of his last six starts but interestingly has won the other two - so can be a threat when all the pieces come together. But his inconsistency will always count against him and other have stronger cases for win only purposes.

Was 3lb wrong at the weights when scoring at odds of 25/1 at Warwick last month so obviously dangerous to underestimate. That was a weak race, so allowed to race off the same mark here. But drops significantly in trip and needs to prove that wasn't just a flash in the pan.

Losing run currently stands at 12 and needs everything to go his way if he it to avoid extending it even further. Best form has come with give underfoot so portents don't really indicate he will be done any favours by the state of the ground.

Plenty of experience but has yet to taste success under rules. She does cat on the ground and should have no issues with the trip, so may actually be able to force her head into the frame if things go here way in what is a very weak event.

Consistency isn't a virtue associated with most of these and backing the likes of Bennys Girl, Uncle Pettit and Welsh Designe for anything better than a place makes very limited appeal. Even ROCKNROLLRAMBO has flaws in his character and needs to be at his best to follow up last month's victory at Huntingdon on an 8lb higher mark. However, he will rarely be presented with a better opportunity to prove himself as the best horse in the race,, so topweight may not be such a burden in this company. The Last Bridge also won last time out but there has to be a suspicion that he'll revert to type over what may prove to be an inadequate trip.
