In good form of late, winning similar contest at both Hereford (heavy) and Towcester (soft). Absolutely no concerns regarding trip or ground and should be able to have a big say in the outcome.
Prolific point-to-point winner who took this race last year. Has not been in such good form since then and getting long enough in the tooth, so looks vulnerable in his repeat bid.
Landed a soft ground Newton Abbot hunter chase this time last year but out of sorts in both starts in point-to-point this season. Best performances have been with some cut in the ground and might find at least a couple too good today.
Won a decent point-to-point in January last year, but beaten 14L in same contest this time around and seems to have lost his way both in that sphere and hunter chases.
Prolific point-to-point winner who has taken five of his last seven in the amateur game and now tries a hunter chase for the first time. Conditions not a problem and is very much the most interesting runner apart from the top two in the market.
Has won point-to-points, the last of them being in 2015, plus twice over hurdles prior to that, but woefully out of form of late and impossible to recommend him today.

Forecasts
Toby Lerone (4/6), Mon Parrain (11/8), Thereyarsee (11/4), Impact Area (5/1), Iron Chancellor (14/1), Double Bank (16/1), Blinding Lights (33/1), Trueflyingcolours (50/1), Total Rebellion (100/1)
Some moderate performers as is the norm for this type of contest and it will be interesting to see how the prolific winning point-to-point form of Thereyarsee transfers to this grade. Nonetheless, he will do very well to eclipse either Toby Lerone or MON PARRAIN, who really ought to have this between them and the Paul Nicholls-trained runner is preferred at these weights.
