Didn't need to improve to score last time out but handicapper has taken no risks shoving him up 7lb for that effort. No doubt there's more to come but drop back in trip doesn't look an obvious move and wide draw isn't ideal so maybe not one to take too short-a-price about.

Scored at Gowran Park as a two-year-old but not shown much in three starts for this yard in the UK. Has been highly tried (raced at Royal Ascot and contested Class 2 affair last time) so drop in class may see him in a better light but he does have a break to overcome.

Trainer has a good record at this course but this gelding was very slowly away on all four of his starts and has failed to beat a rival home on last two efforts. Got away with such antics at Musselburgh the time before when they went too fast on the front end but hard to fancy given his overall profile.

Has looked suited by the AW and got off the mark at Kempton Park last time out having the edge on experience over his rivals and looking suited by the 7f. Given a decent mark for his handicap debut for a yard in good form he still holds an Irish 2,000 Guineas entry.

Best form has come around here with two placed efforts in his last three starts but still a maiden and hard to argue he's well-handicapped. Should make his presence felt from an attractive draw and a jockey with a good strike-rate around here (17.83%) but hard to fancy for win purposes.

Gone backwards since winning at Brighton in the summer and very disappointing as a short-priced favourite here last time. Entitled to come on for that run as it was his first effort returning from a break but he has plenty to prove for now.

Has improved since the turn of the year with a C&D in January followed up by a Lingfield effort a couple of starts later. Respectable second to a smart looking one last time at Newcastle and return to this course may suit even better. Interesting player.

Placed just once in five starts, that coming at Pontefract when last seen. Denied a clear run on that occasion so could be more to come but he has a break to overcome and this could merely be a pipe opener for his return to turf this summer.

Got his second win on the board last time when getting the run of the race on the front end. The first-time cheekpieces probably helped but they're not guaranteed to have the same effect this time around and more needed from a 3lb higher mark.

Only moderate form in maidens and struggled since the switch to handicaps. Jockey probably worth his 7lb claim but the filly needs to find more in what looks like a competitive race.

Forecasts

Dark Destroyer (3/1), Sidewinder (7/2), Revel (4/1), Mia Cara (8/1), Bazwind (8/1), Hidden Stash (14/1), Justice Frederick (14/1), Lightoller (20/1), Naupaka (25/1), Tor (66/1)

15:20 Wolverhampton - 28 March 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The drop in class may just do the trick for JUSTICE FREDERICK provided he's ready to go after an absence. Mia Cara looks on an upward curve this year and she may be able to carry on that progression at a course she's proven at. Revel is likely to be of warm order but it's questionable what his latest piece of form is worth and he may be worth opposing for win purposes from a high draw.
  1. Justice Frederick
  2. Mia Cara
  3. Revel
