After proving costly to follow, he finally broke his duck in a Huntingdon maiden hurdle (2m, soft) last time, though the assessor has now dropped him 7lb for his last two starts. Has a proven level of form better than the rest here and ought to win even under the penalty, but clearly not bombproof.
Was forging a promising career, having won a Chepstow novices' contest in November (2m, good to soft), though weakened quickly and pulled up on his handicap debut here (2m4f, heavy) last time. Drops back to this trip, which is interesting as connections clearly think he stays further.
Was winning a 1m handicap on good ground in Italy in June last year and now runs for the champion trainer for the first time, having been gelded in the interim. Interesting to see what market confidence there is in him.
Ran well, if green, for a long way on his bumper debut earlier in the season, but then pulled up over 2m3f and a well beaten third over C&D (heavy) last time. Tongue strap retained but improvement needed.
Another who made a decent bumper debut but was a shade disappointing when tried over hurdles. Perhaps the heavy ground was against him that day, but it looks as though he will have to contend with that again, so the tongue strap needs to have a dramatic effect.
Well beaten on debut in a bumper and then unusually she fell in one of those at Exeter last time. Needs to build from the bottom on this, her hurdling debut.
Nice enough bumper debut in the autumn, though out of sorts a couple of times after that, before picking up the thread again over C&D last time when third in a similar contest. Needs to improve a fair bit to be winning, but prize money is not out of the question.
68-rated Flat performer who is 0-10 in that sphere at trips up to 1m4f. Will need to better that form as a hurdler if he is to win this on his debut over timber and also for this yard.

AZZURI has found one or two too good on several occasions when fancied, but Dan Skelton looks to have found another nice opportunity for him to get his nose in front, though caution is advised. Copain De Classe should give him the most to do, while that yard's other inmate Azari is an interesting newcomer. Ruby Russet may be able to pick up some money again.
