Not long since he was winning a 1m Southwell handicap from a mark of 68 but beaten from today's mark or just higher in three starts since, meaning connections turn to this sphere. Has something to find at these weights.
Dropped into this class for the first time despite being in good form in handicaps, winning twice here in October and November, the latter over C&D. Not disgraced from this mark last time and likely to be one of the leading lights today.
In recession in recent years, though did pop up in a moderate Nottingham handicap last summer. Did win a seller in 2013, but has plenty to find to be repeating the dose here.
Won a couple of races here last spring, including in this grade and returned to form over 1m at Chelmsford last time out. General level of form gives him a squeak at these weights and his chance is respected.
Scored in a Leicester seller last summer and has twice been runner-up from today's mark in handicaps since. Failed to complete in a couple of attempts over hurdles, so may appreciate this return to an obstacle-free zone.
Was in decent form in handicaps and claimers for Ivan Furtado, though yet to hit those heights for current yard and now tries a seller for the first time. More ability than everything else, though cannot rely solely on that.
Three years and a big slide in the weights since his last win and although he ran well enough in a claimer at Southwell last time, his task here suggests that a watching brief is sound advice.
In poor form both on the Flat and over hurdles since joining current yard and has a mountain to climb on recent evidence.
Forecasts
Mr Red Clubs (15/8), Drago (7/2), Port Paradise (7/2), Ready (6/1), Anton Chigurh (15/2), Pool House (14/1), Bling King (50/1), Little Lotte (66/1)
READY has rather lost his way of late but this looks a great chance for redemption for Clare Ellam's charge and we will trust in his superior ability and the way the race is framed. Drago is one of those dropped into this class for the first time and goes well here, so looks capable of making the frame along with Mr Red Clubs.
