Yard going much better after a poor winter, and this one showed improved form to win easily at Carlisle latest, despite the odd sloppy jump. Should improve again and handles heavy ground, so plenty going for him here.

Step up in trip should help, based on efforts at both Wetherby and Musselburgh where he stayed on late at one pace on both occasions, and having won a point-to-point on soft, ought not to mind the likely soft ground. Needs improvement but that's not impossible.

It might be worth chancing MIDDLEBROW in receipt of almost a stone from Johanos , as the ground is likely to be very testing by the time this comes around and the weight difference might prove decisive. This step up in trip may well bring out a bit more improvement and he can cause a small upset. Johanos did little wrong at Carlisle but may have to play second fiddle here, with Cracking Find the other to consider.
