Previous form in bumpers suggests trip will not be a problem. Has won two of his last four and was not disgraced in those defeats. A rise in the weights demands more but impossible to dismiss at present.
Chances depend on how she settles. Will have needed the run last time but was still beaten a long way out. Handicap mark no more than fair and others are preferred.
Ran well in first time visor on first start for new yard. Has gone well over C&D in the past and appears better suited to this surface. Looks sure to give another good account and one for the shortlist.
Recent improvement has come with the fitting of cheekpieces. Gained an overdue win under today's rider at Chelmsford having come up against better handicapped rivals in his previous few starts. More than capable of defying the handicapper again now that connections have found the key to him.
Sole win in 25 starts came here in October over 1m4f. Has been in grip of handicapper since and has run as though this trip would suit. Interesting now dropped in the weights with top rider booked. Stable won this in 2013.
Held up and settled better last time when noted running on at the finish. Gets an extra couple of furlongs and a new headgear configuration. Finished just behind Stonecoldsoba that day and they meet again on identical terms.
Cost 70,000 guineas a yearling but subsequently sold unraced to Neil Mulholland for just £1,500. Has been well beaten on all starts to date. Makes handicap debut over a significantly longer trip and market will be a guide to her prospects.
Has been on a downward spiral since September having been beaten by wide margins in last seven races. AW record is moderate and stable companion looks a stronger proposition.
Forecasts
Par Three (11/4), Kay Sera (10/3), Stonecoldsoba (7/2), Kilim (7/1), Penny Poet (9/1), Ali Bin Nayef (11/1), Cosmic Tigress (14/1), Zeteah (66/1)
PAR THREE was racing off higher marks during the summer. Now that he has got his head in front again he can follow up here. His main rival will be Stonecoldsoba who has been running consistently well lately. This course suits him well and the visor helped him last time. Kay Sera cannot be dismissed in his current form. He tackles this distance for the first time on the Flat but it could be a good move judged on his bumper form.
