Cost €33,000 as a three-year-old. Has soon dropped off the pace in three races so far, albeit in better races than this. Stable have a good record here but she is best watched for signs of progress.

Performed to a modest standard in Irish point-to-points. Made her debut over hurdles behind a smart horse last time and never figured. This looks easier but others make more appeal.
Showed a bit more on soft ground last time. The way she weakened in the closing stages is a concern given the stiff hill before the home straight here. The stable are enjoying some success recently and that makes her a contender.
Bought at Doncaster in May for £26,000 after finishing runner-up in what was a good Down Royal bumper. May have needed both runs since but a further three month absence suggests there has been a problem. If fit enough, the form of her run here in December looks good enough to land this.
Has shown promise on all starts to date. Will want further in time, but the stiff track here will be a benefit.

SUNSET MARQUIS is the selection judged on her fourth to a smart Donald McCain mare here in December. The second and third that day were of a standard good enough to suggest that SUNSET MARQUIS can win a race of this nature. The McCain team are represented by Princess Mononoke. The five-year-old has been found wanting at the business end of recent races and the climb to the home straight may find her out. Topham Bay has been crying out for a stiffer test and will get one here.
