Benefitted from a great tactical ride last time. Has more to do from a mark that has been beyond him in the past and he has never been able to follow up previous successes. Yet to race on this surface but sire does get winners here.

Hit form last summer and gained a deserved success in this grade before suffering a narrow defeat at Thirsk. The handicapper made life more difficult subsequently but has dropped him to an attractive mark. Will strip fitter for his latest run which followed a six month absence. Makes debut on this surface but sire gets plenty of winners here.

Finished second on the ice at St. Moritz last time over a slightly shorter trip. Had a BHA rating of 100 a year ago and this is easier than his last two AW races against in form horses. Most serious doubt is that his sire gets few winners on this unique surface.

Drops in trip having not quite lasted home over 1m on last three starts. Handicap mark looks right judged on a Windsor success in June. Makes Fibresand debut but sire does get winners on this surface.

Came to hand early last season but best efforts have come over further. Makes AW debut and sire does not have a good record here. Stable in form and jockey booking looks interesting. Has little else going for him off a career high mark.

Useful handicapper on his day but AW record is 0-12. AW mark is 5lb below his turf equivalent and the rejuvenated produced at the end of last season would give him an excellent chance. Has run well here in the past and goes well fresh. Stable have been in good form.

Took advantage of some leniency from the handicapper to score here last time. Has more to do from a 6lb higher mark and in a hotter race.

Plenty of reasons for and against most of this field. Preference is for GEORGE CINQ who should come on for a recent run at Wolverhampton. He struck form last summer and his two efforts at Doncaster and Thirsk last July suggest he is on a handy mark in this. He needs to be held up as long as possible and with a good pace likely he should have the race run to suit. Kingston Kurrajong will set out to make every post a winning one and this looks his easiest task since coming back from a six month absence. Showboating arrives in good heart and always gives a good account here. His handicap mark looks tough but he will get the race run to suit.
  1. George Cinq
  2. Kingston Kurrajong
  3. Showboating
