Solid performances in weaker races France and Germany at the end of the last Turf season, so is obviously capable of capitalising when the opportunities come his way. Best when able to dominate but needs a career best effort to land the hat-trick. Tough test in this company.

Consistent and versatile regarding his ground preferences. Yet to encounter this course but has thrived over the last twelve months. Big chance if he copes with the turning nature of Wolverhampton.

Not seen out since finishing fourth in the July Stakes in 2015, so has solid form to his name but obviously needs to prove his well being. Powerful yard has been back amongst the winners lately, so can be expected to be ready for action. The betting market may be the best gauge as to his readiness for the occasion.

Won on this card a couple of seasons ago but seemed to lose his way for a while afterwards. However, he has rediscovered winning ways of late and has a sound chance of at least making the frame if he can step things up another notch this time around.

Former Godolphin inmate who has done nothing but improve for his current yard. Form figures tell their own story, as he has answered every question asked of him recently. Has won over C&D in the past but has more on his plate at this level, even though he fully deserves a crack at gaining some Black Type.

Likely to get the strong pace he needs but has struggled in this grade before. Also remains to be seen how he will handle this surface. others preferred.

Handles this C&D and has a feasible chance at the weights; but has been struggling in handicaps, so may find this company too hot to handle just now.

Tries this grade for the first time and, given that he is versatile regarding the ground, he can be considered as a lively outsider. Worth bearing in mind that he is on a long losing run and has never won over this trip on an artificial surface before getting too heavily involved.

Salateen16
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-3| J: P Makin| T: D O'Meara| OR:  104

Had a relatively successful winter in Dubai - won twice from four starts at Meydan - and likes to make the running. However, he can throw the towel in when he doesn't get his own way, so isn't one to trust implicitly. Also has something to prove regarding his ability to handle this track (makes his course debut here).

Not far behind Salateen when they met at Newmarket last September and is closely matched with that rival on the balance of form. Still lightly raced for his current yard but makes his course debut, so has a little to prove on that score.

Yard has been quiet recently and she needs to step things up considerably on recent form; gets the fillies allowance but needs everything to go her way in this stiffer grade of contest than her norm.

15:15 Wolverhampton - 11 March 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This is likely to be run at a strong tempo, which will suit KEYSTROKE, who handles this course well and comes here on the back of a solid winning performance last time out. My Target has taken on all comers of late and will make the rest aware of his presence if he can find a little extra, while the betting market will be the best gauge as to whether Eltezam is going to be sharper for the run. Salateen and Yuften can fight it out as the best of the rest.
