Still a maiden but is a consistent individual who represents powerful connections. Also entered at Chelmsford next week, so indications are that he is ready to fire. A reliable yardstick at this level.

Won a couple of weak races for his current yard but looked like the handicapper already has his measure last time out. Respected but faces something of an acid test this time around.

Won her last two starts in pretty bloodless style and has plenty going for her whilst she is on a roll. Her yard rarely perseveres with one at this time of year unless the foundations are solid. The time of her latest win was only modest but she barley came out of first gear and will be tough to master if she has thrived over the last couple of weeks.

Very slowly away when last seen out, which resulted in a very disappointing effort given the manner of his previous win in maiden at Musselburgh. Has been gelded since then but probably best watched on his debut for his new yard.

Blitzed passed Vatican Hill last time out and confirmed the suspicion that he had plenty more to come. Interesting that he has switched yards (leaving Sir Mark Prescott after winning at Newcastle last month). His current yard has been relatively quiet, so a careful eye on the betting is advised.

Likes to set the tempo and looked useful in winning a couple of modest races at the turn of the year. However, she was well held at this course last time out. A likely candidate to cut out the running once more, she will need to be at the top of her game if she is going to make all the running in this company.

Another who likes to make the running but has long absence to overcome and, given the way he faded in his final couple of outing last season, he has a bit to find in this company.

Disappointing after landing a nursery at Chelmsford last November and plenty to find on these terms. Also below expectations on his only try at this course; opposable here.

Not without ability but in danger of becoming unreliable; lacked sparkle when tried in a visor last time so no surprise to see the application left out of the plans this time around. Held by Espresso Freddo the last time they met but entitled to at least get closer to that rival on the revised terms.
