Horse silk
Oscar Rose97
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: Conor Shoemark| T: F O'Brien
14/1
Cost less than £13,000 but has already proved up to winning a Listed bumper at Huntingdon in December (good). This looks tougher, especially under a penalty and she will need to find more today.
2
Horse silk
16/1
Won softy ground bumpers at both Carlisle and then under a penalty at Newcastle and looks a useful recruit. Trainer's raids this far south are rare, so he must think plenty of her, though she still has to improve again to win this.
3
Horse silk
11/1
Won a Ffos Las bumper and was then resolute when challenged under her penalty at Hereford, showing a good attitude to hold off all comers. Will be doing her best work at the business end and looks a possible when the prize money is dished out.
4
Horse silk
Lady Valerie21
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: James Best| T: R Stephens
66/1
Scored on debut at Southwell (good to soft), but was unable to cope with a stronger contest and a penalty at Ascot next time and unless she improves significantly on that it is hard to see her figuring here.
5
Horse silk
5/1
Placed in three big-field bumpers in Ireland before coming good at Thurles last time, winning easily by 21L. That looks very strong in the context of this race and likely to be tough to beat now that the penny has dropped.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-0| J: C Gethings| T: S Edmunds
20/1
Runner-up in three successive bumpers on good or good to soft, the last time when she was sent off as favourite. Cheek pieces added today in the hope for some improvement and they will need to work well if she is to take a hand.
7
Horse silk
7/2
Sluiced up in a mares' bumper at Wetherby in November and never looked likely to be beaten when successfully defying a penalty at Huntingdon next time. Both pieces of form look strong enough in their own right to make her a leading contender today for a yard that does well in this sphere.
Irish raider who won a point-to-point on debut and then obliged on sole start under rules at Punchestown in December, where the front three were well clear. Represents top yard who won this last year and with improvement very likely, she looks tough to topple here.

Could not do much more than win on debut at Fakenham, though was not up against much there. Likely that her trainer will be able to improve her nonetheless and she is probably likely to be in the hunt for some prize money.

Cap Soleil69
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-10| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien
9/2
Looked above average when scoring at Newbury on debut and followed up with a resolute effort to win a Listed contest at Cheltenham under her penalty. This is her first try over this trip and it should enable her to find more, so with her allowance she has to be short list material.

Forecasts

Redhotfillypeppers (9/4), Petticoat Tails (7/2), Cap Soleil (9/2), Martello Park (5/1), Just A Thought (11/1), Oscar Rose (14/1), Illwalktheline (16/1), Molly Childers (20/1), Whatzdjazz (33/1), Lady Valerie (66/1)

15:35 Sandown - 11 March 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A cracking contest where Cap Soleil should again go very very for the Fergal O'Brien team and although she is unexposed at this trip, you could argue that the Willie Mullins-trained REDHOTFILLYPEPPERS is even less exposed after just the one start. The trainer knows what sort of mare it takes to win this and we suggest trusting his judgement. Martello Park and Petticoat Tails are most feared of the remainder.
  1. Redhotfillypeppers
  2. Cap Soleil
  3. Petticoat Tails
