Showed very little in two starts on turf last season but will qualify for a handicap mark after this. Likely a step up in trip will suit before too long. Others appear to hold stronger claims for the present time.
Never looked like justifying his £40,000 price tag on his debut at Lingfield but he is a nicely-bred individual that can benefit from the experience. His dam is an influence for a tad more stamina than a race like this, so may also benefit from a sterner test in due course.
Made a promising start to his juvenile career but began to fade by the time he finished down the field in a modest race at Goodwood in the summer. He showed very little sparkle on his recent return to the action and is probably best watched until he shows signs of a revival.
Was clueless leaving the stalls in his solitary start for Richard Fahey last year but he did pick up towards the end of the race. Sufficiently so for this new yard to have taken him under their wing and market likely to be the best guide on whether he's ready to go on first run for some time.
Posted a couple of solid efforts as a juvenile and has been given plenty of time to develop over the winter. Also likely to find his level in handicaps, but he appeals on breeding for a race like this and can be a strong contender if he has grown up mentally since he was last seen in action.
Has a likeable pedigree but failed to build on her promising debut when finishing just worse than mid division in a similar race at this course at the start of this month. A step up by at least a furliong will do her no harm in handicaps.
Forecasts
Logi (5/2), Lostock (5/2), Zavikon (3/1), Jack The Truth (7/2), Jack Blane (22/1), Ebitda (50/1)
ZAVIKON is speculatively forwarded as the most likely winner at this stage of his development. His yard has been quiet of late, so a cautious approach is advised. Ebitda also appeals as a long-term prospect but can give the selection a run for the money tonight. While Jack The Truth is an interesting contender and is the reason why Jamie Spencer is hanging around for the final race on the card.
1. Zavikon
2. Ebitda
3. Jack The Truth
