Stepped up on his debut effort over a mile here when fourth in a C&D maiden to an odds-on favourite. That form isn't solid though and it's likely that he'll be of more interest in handicaps going forward.
Yet to run on the Flat after showing some fair form in bumpers and over hurdles, although he is yet to win in either sphere. This isn't a tough maiden to start his Flat career though and it won't be a surprise to see him make his mark.
Half-brother to several useful winners. Ran twice in bumpers and made his Flat debut at Wolverhampton recently. That run was only modest and he'll have to improve on what he's shown prior to today.
Winner in bumpers and over hurdles and was well fancied on her Flat debut over C&D. Failed to live up to expectations on that occasion and looked as though she needed a greater test of stamina than this 1m4f provides.
Had eight attempts to break her maiden tag finishing runner-up on three occasions. Another modest effort at Newcastle last time out but this is a weak contest and it's one of the easier chances she's had to date.
Two starts in maidens have shown very little, finishing well beaten last time out over a mile and steps up 4f here. Likely to do better when handicapping.
Forecasts
Appy Days (9/5), Casablanca (2/1), The Blue Bomber (9/4), Paris Bound (12/1), Marauder (25/1), L'ami De Rouge (250/1)
This is only a weak maiden and offers Casablanca another chance of getting off the mark but she looks increasingly difficult to win with and may have to give best to the primarily jumps based duo of THE BLUE BOMBER and Appy Days. The former has yet to run on the Flat but should be capable of taking a contest like this based on his hurdles rating of 120. Appy Days didn’t quite match expectations when making her debut on the Flat over C&D but is worth another chance to atone in such a poor contest.
1. The Blue Bomber
2. Appy Days
3. Casablanca
