Improving mare who found the useful Mariah's Legend too good at Huntingdon two runs ago, but made no mistake at Wincanton next time, leading three out and galloping on well for an easy 12l victory. Bigger targets have been nominated for her this spring and if they are realistic, she should be going close here.

9/2
Improving and given a good ride at Hereford last time out, when taking a handicap hurdle by 21l from a previous winner, showing she handles heavy ground in the process. Might be slightly flattered by that win, as she might have raced on the best of the ground, but still needs taking seriously here.

7/1
Showed huge improvement on her third start at Bangor when taking a competitive looking bumper, and given 33-1 price tag, it came as a surprise to connections as well. However, form of that is working out well and it was no fluke, so if jumping fluently on debut here, could get involved. Stable a bit quiet at the moment though.

Carnspindle15
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: G Sheehan| T: W Greatrex
11/2
Won a bumper on her second start at Uttoxeter for Warren Greatrex, looking a stayer in the making but didn't jump well enough on her hurdles debut at Leicester to throw down any sort of a challenge, despite not getting beaten far in the end. Step up in trip here will suit but needs to tidy up that jumping technique today.
Only the three starts so far and showed some promise first time up in a Plumpton bumper, beaten less than eight lengths, but shown little on only hurdle start and looks more for handicaps down the line.

Forecasts

Hitherjacques Lady (8/13), Indian Native (9/2), Carnspindle (11/2), Arian (7/1), The Golden Hour (66/1)

15:25 Lingfield - 20 February 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Fout of the five have shown form and choosing between them isn't easy. HITHERJACQUES LADY was given the target of the valuable mares race at Newbury this spring, and if she's to be competitive there she ought to be up to giving a penalty away here. Arlan sprang a surprise at Bangor and should do well in this sphere, but just lacks the experience of the selection and Indian Native can continue to progress as well. 1. Hitherjacques Lady 2. Arian 3. Indian Native
