S V Rutter Ltd Novices' Hurdle

Won a Wetherby bumper last season on soft ground and although he has not added to that, he has run with credit four times at this track. Has a disappointing Kelso run from last time to overcome, but back at this venue he may be able to go well again.

Has appeared to be crying out for further on two heavy ground hurdle runs at Ayr that were over 2m. Likely to prove more interesting over a trip and when handicapping.

Bumper winner who looked a lovely horse in the making when turned out after an absence to finish fourth in a decent Musselburgh maiden last time. Has run well with cut in the ground in a bumper, so should hopefully be able to handle the forecast conditions. Raced up with the pace for much of the way at Musselburgh until showing signs of needing it late on and should be cherry ripe this time.

Made the frame in three Irish bumpers before switching to current connections for £50,000. Debut hurdles effort at Bangor perhaps not as good as had been anticipated, but with the yard going well at present there is every reason to believe that he can leave that behind him.

Won three times on the Flat in Germany and France at up to 1m1f on sound surfaces, though went well on heavy ground at Pontefract over 1m2f when with Micky Hammond last year. Wanted to get on with it on his first run for current yard at Carlisle, before a bad blunder put him out of it. A market check is probably good advice.

Irish point-to-point winner (soft) who was well beaten on his hurdling debut at Wetherby and looks likely to want further than this before showing his true worth.

Well beaten on all five starts to date and much more likely to reveal himself when sent handicapping.

Debut Warwick bumper winner last year and after a quiet hurdling debut, he did better to finish runner-up at Uttoxeter last time (heavy). Likely to be a leading player.

Hard to fancy on anything that she has shown either on the Flat or her recent Wetherby hurdling debut when sent off at 200/1.
