The veteran Stand Guard showed no signs of his old age catching up with him when winning over C&D last time, but as his mark continues to rise, he's going to have to struggle sooner or later. The relatively lightly raced gelding ran well in defeat over C&D last month in what was his first start over 1m4f and could take all the beating if coming on for that run.
