Doesn't look the most straightforward character and it has to be a concern that he is is now with his fourth trainer since June 2015 (also very off-putting that each of his three previous starts have been for different training establishments). One to be wary of for now.
Loved the undulations when winning a point-to-point at Ampton, so debatable as to whether this course will ideally suit his style of running. However, his debut under rules was poor to say the least, so he already has something to prove.
Improved to win a bumper at Warwick before making a smooth transition to hurdles when he made belated return to action in a similar heat at Exeter last month. That run will have opened the pipes and this nicely-bred individual makes plenty of appeal in this new venture over a longer trip.
Seemed anchored by the heavy ground at Plumpton last time out but has failed to live up to the sparkle he showed when winning a bumper at this course a year ago. May do better in time but one to watch just for now.
Won a point-to-point for his current trainer a while ago but has been something of a no show in two subsequent starts under rules; too much to prove to merit a recommendation as one to follow this time around.
Sets the standard on the official ratings, so obviously merits respect. The form of his win at Chepstow was franked by the the runner up, so a rating of 127 has to be taken as fair. Also interesting that his connections have opted to go the novice hurdle route rather than a handicap; a leading contender in this company.
Represents a top yard so has to be feared on that fact alone. He refused to participate in his first point-to-point, but put the record straight with two bloodless wins after that. Now with Paul Nicholls, the Milan gelding is sure to be primed for his debut under rules and has to be of interest if the market speaks in his favour.
Forecasts
Kayf Adventure (1/2), San Satiro (4/1), King Uther (5/1), Robinroyale (7/1), Flemcara (12/1), Padawan (80/1), Bruce Of Crionaich (100/1), Honourable Henry (100/1)
An interesting little race, in which San Satiro and Robinroyale are certainly going to be of interest if the betting market appears to favour one over the other. However, KAYF ADVENTURE is expected to know more about what is required of him this time around and gets the nomination as the one to be with. Flemcara looks a chaser in the making but is one for future reference what ever happens here.
1. Kayf Adventure
2. San Satiro
3. Robinroyale
