Really enjoyed the test of stamina over 3m in the mud at Plumpton last time out winning kept up to his work. Gets no penalty for that success and runs off the same mark here although this quicker ground and shorter trip will make this an awkward task.

Only win over hurdles so far came in a Wincanton novice when starting favourite over 2m. Last three starts have all come in handicaps and she looked to come back to form at Doncaster over 2m3f last time out in a less competitive handicap than she had been running in. Up 3lb for that second but comes from a yard in good form and can travels strongly.

Not quite firing over fences and returned to hurdles with a much better effort last time out at Leicester when second to Sleepy Haven. Up 2lb for that run but still runs off a 4lb lower mark than he would over fences. Raced clear on the front end last time with one rival and did well to hold onto second after that duel which made him vulnerable in the finish.

Makes his handicap hurdle debut here after showing just fair form over hurdles so far. Won on his debut in a bumper before finding the Champion Bumper too hot to handle on his second start and has struggled to settle in his hurdle races so far leaving him vulnerable in the closing stages.

Won a hurdle in France before joining the Evan Williams yard to go straight over fences where he disappointed on both starts. Reverted to hurdles after that and showed little again. Comes back from a break (330 days) and for a new yard and may still has some scope based on his French form.

Came back after a break last time out without his usual headgear (returns here) to finish in midfield in a Lingfield handicap hurdle. Losing run starting to stack up now though and doesn't look the easiest of rides.

Just a fair sort of hurdles these days and ran a good race last time out to be just touched off over a longer trip. Not the force he once was but his mark reflects that and he may do better over this shorter trip on a course that he seems to go well on.

Not really convincing at the moment over hurdles and tried in headgear again over a trip that has tested him in the past.

Showed some better form on his penultimate start at Sedgefield when second in a maiden hurdle but failed to follow that run up last time out. Disappointed over a shorter trip at Market Rasen last time, folding up very quickly on handicap debut and more needed here.

Makes his handicap debut here after making a big stride forward last time out with a second at Uttoxeter when a big price. Returns after a break here off a mark that he should be competitive off and interesting to see what the market makes of him.

Went through a good spell in the middle of last year winning a handicap at Bangor and a claimer at Huntingdon. Has struggled since then though and looks to have a tough task after being well beaten at Leicester in January.

15:25 Market Rasen - 7 February 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The first handicap on the card is a competitive one with Eminent Poet sure to head the market after his win in stamina sapping conditions last time out. This could be a little different though over a shorter trip and on less testing ground and it may well be that the conditions could be his undoing. Mwaleshi usually runs a solid race around here and Ozzy Thomas if he got a soft lead again would be capable of taking this on a track that should suit such tactics. Compadre has always looked as though he could be much better than this level but his failure to settle has undermined his chances so far although a strongly run handicap may suit him far better than the novice hurdles he has been running in. Sharp Response will need respecting if he turns out again while Sensible Simpson should be watched in the market on his handicap debut. Overall though it’s AWESOME ROSIE who looks capable of taking this after her Doncaster run last time out where she travelled well and finished off the race strongly. 1. Awesome Rosie 2. Mwaleshi 3. Eminent Poet
