Not seen for 659 days since running in a Hexham novices' hurdle and finishing a reasonable fifth showing some ability. Only previous run had come nearly two years before in a Southwell bumper and safe to assume that she has had her problems.
Bumper form looks useful with the win at Warwick last February the pick of her three bumper runs although she did shape well in a Grade 1 bumper at Aintree after that. Very creditable first try over hurdles when second at Fontwell Park to an odds-on favourite and only narrowly beaten.
Four starts all in bumpers with the last three efforts all being creditable. Beaten favourite on her debut at Newbury but has run better in a tongue-tie since. Second last out in an AW bumper at Lingfield and makes her hurdles debut today.
Had a couple of starts in point-to-points in Ireland winning the second of them - a mares' maiden beating 13 rivals in good style. Bought for £95,000 after that win and makes her hurdles debut over this 2m trip. Has plenty of good hurdlers in her pedigree and looks sure to go well here.
Well held in both her bumper starts and has so far only beaten one horse home in two hurdles starts and more needed to trouble the principals in this contest.
Forecasts
Little Miss Poet (2/5), Pampanini (9/2), Rosie McQueen (6/1), Spy In The Sky (28/1), Lavella Wells (66/1), Maggie's Dawn (100/1)
Not much strength in depth in this mares’ maiden hurdle and given her run last time out LITTLE MISS POET should be able to get off the mark over hurdles. Lavella Wells is of interest but it’s probably safe to say that she will lack the match fitness of some of these and it will be down to Pampanini and Rosie McQueen to chase home Little Miss Poet.
1. Little Miss Poet
