Former very smart handicap chaser (rated 155 at his best) at around 2m 4f. Seems to go on any ground and although he has been off the track for the best part of two years, his trainer is likely to have him fit enough to see off what is largely a moderate field.
Has been good enough to win hurdles and chases from 129 and comes back after a break following a loss of form last summer. Can go well fresh and he looks most likely to benefit if the likely favourite misfires.
C&D handicap chase winner in December 2014 (soft) from a mark of 121, but struggled in that sphere thereafter and would like to see what ability he retains now switched to these ranks before wading in.
Three miles and cut in the ground are ideal for this former 142-rated chaser when with Philip Hobbs. Powers have reduced significantly since then and recent point-to-point run would not be good enough to win this.
Forecasts
Ask The Weatherman (4/9), Rebel Rebellion (7/1), Return Spring (11/1), Loch Ba (11/1), Tony Star (16/1), Sacre Toi (20/1), Im All Set (33/1)
It will take a brave person to oppose REBEL REBELLION here. Once a very smart 2m 4f handicap chaser, he goes on any ground and he should still be in a different class to the rest of them. Sacre Toi and Tony Star look most likely to be the ones filling the frame.
1. Rebel Rebellion
2. Sacre Toi
3. Tony Star
