Only just touched off by Hallings Comet at Lingfield in November, but two runs since haven't seen her beat a horse home. Handicapper slow to relent as well, and hopes are pinned on a switch back to Fibresand here (only one moderate effort to show on it).

Unexposed, and showed much better form last time out when a two length second to Playful Dude over C&D last time. Drawn well out wide, appears to be going the right way and every possibility of more improvement today.

Seemed to improve for the step up to a mile last time at Lingfield, coming home with a rattle to grab second although (winner apart) the pace collapsed somewhat. This may not be run to suit, with just one pacemaker in the field, and he may need to wait for a better opportunity.

In terrific form of late and remarkable that he's only gone up 4lb in all that time, and being proven over C&D there seems little reason he won't run his race again and get involved.

Decent enough first effort on al all-weather surface when taking second behind Seven Clans, but not hard to think that he needs further than a mile these days and this will be his first try on Fibresand.

Better effort from the front in a first-time tongue tie at Southwell last time out, and although beaten four lengths into second that represented an improved effort. May well get his own way out in front here too, and from a yard that does well here, has to be shortlisted.

Winner of three of his last four starts, but they have come at six and seven furlongs and he was beaten at a mile in between. 5lb higher than his last win and the first try on Fibresand ask new questions of him, but in such good form he can't be discounted.

Mark continues to fall and he's now a whopping 14lb below his last winning mark. Has given hints on his last couple of starts that his turn might not that be far away and he's got solid form over this C&D. Market will prove best guide to his chance.

Just the one win from 18 starts, and recent runs at Lingfield (over ten furlongs) don't make her look like a winner in waiting. Drop back in trip today and difficult to say whether that's a positive or not. First try on Fibresand too.

Looked like making up into a useful filly when winning easily at Newmarket last season, but hasn't repeated that run since and she now finds herself 9lb lower than that win. One of her better efforts at Wolverhampton last time gives hope, as does the fact she handled Fibresand on her one run here, but not hard to think she needs further than a mile.

Hard to win with (just four wins from 56 starts) and has plenty of form over this C&D, including last time out when a four lengths second to easy winner Shearian, but not hard to think there are more likelier winners.

Evergreen veteran that enjoys racing around here, and won on his 100th start at the track in December. Consistent since, although didn't get the breakneck pace he needs to come off last time. That may be the case here too.

16:15 Southwell - 30 January 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

With little in the way of pace up front, Ramblow is taken to improve on his second here last time out and make all. The tongue tie and cheekpieces that seemed to spark that improvement are retained, and from a good draw out wide can attack early and put these to the sword. City Of Angkor Wat may be the danger, especially if the market speaks in his favour, and Playful Dude can continue his consistent run by getting in the places again. 1. Ramblow 2. City Of Angkor Wat 3. Playful Dude
