Best run for a while when third over C&D here in early January, making most and only fading out of it late. Better class than this at his best, and if new yard can coax a bit more out of him (and first time visor goes on) has a solid chance here.

More unexposed that most, and has shown enough on last two starts here to suggest a race of this nature could come his way. Drop back in trip looks a positive move, and although up against some battle hardened opponents here, may improve again.

The way he's stayed on over six furlongs here on his last two starts suggests this step back up to seven is worth a try (has won over seven and a half furlongs on turf) but may not get the strongly run race he seems to need these days. Not discounted, but likelier winners.

No win on the board from 16 starts, but has shown promise on more than one occasion. The positives are the form of the yard (three winners from last eight runners) and Shane Kelly taking over in the saddle. First time on Fibresand too.

Wins few and far between but when they come, they come over this C&D, which offers some hope, However, has shown little spark this winter and does not look like taking advantage of his falling mark.

Has shown very little in nine starts to date, and has left Gary Moore since his final start in October. Switch to Fibresand the straw to cling to (sire Dark Angel has a 10% strike rate on the surface).

Hard to win with, with just the one win in thirty starts, but has been running to a consistent level this winter and has form over C&D that could take him close. Poor run last time needs forgiving, but the first time cheekpieces could be the catalyst for an improved run here.

Has looked a bit short of pace over six furlongs here at Southwell on last two starts, and looks worth a go at seven now. First time tongue tie and visor, plus the booking of Adam Kirby, all look positives and he's not discounted from a dangerous looking mark.

Showing very little of late, and doesn't look like taking advantage of falling mark any time soon, The one positive is the move to the Fibresand - sire Iffraaj has a good record here, which might spark some improvement.

Sprang a major surprise when winning at 50-1 here in late December, a run that came totally out of the blue as she had shown very little in five starts before that. Form of that not really working out, and not hard to have reservations about a follow-up here.

In the right grade here, but not hard to think he's better at a mile than shorter these days. Not doing enough to suggest his turn is near.

Front-runner is drawn to attack from stall 1, and after a long spell without a winner the yard have had a couple and others are running better. Second to Fortinbrass over six furlongs on latest start suggested he might be coming back to form, and is equally happy at seven. Chances if that run isn't a flash in the pan.

Plugged on from the rear here last time to take fifth behind Wimboldsley, albeit beaten a respectful distance. Step up to seven furlongs should suit (best run to date at Redcar over this trip) and may well run on into the places again.

Forecasts

15:40 Southwell - 30 January 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not many come into this with pressing claims, and it may be worth taking the chance that top weight Secret Glance can outclass his opponents. He was better class than this at best for Ed McMahon, and his new yard (Richard Rowe) go straight for the visor to rejuvenate him. He will get a good tow into the race from Cadeaux Pearl here, who may well be able to hang on for second, with Kopassus, who ran on through beaten horses over six furlongs last time, taken to grab third. 1. Secret Glance 2. Cadeaux Pearl 3. Kopassus
