Faced tough tasks on both starts so far at the weights, and likely a similar story here on her third visit to this track. Will be better suited to handicaps.
Stepped up on his debut run over 7f in November, by running as well as could be expected dropped back to 6f here behind the long odds on Glorious Politics earlier this month. Surprisingly back up in trip (and upto a mile), but this is a poor race.
Sixth of seven on debut for Scott Dixon over 6f at Ripon in May, and not seen on the racecourse since. Makes debut on the AW over this stiff mile for new trainer Alan Brown.
Lost his way a little after a fair debut over 6f at Salisbury in August, but has shown glimmers in handicaps the last twice with form tied up with Hotfill and Ode To Paris (both run in the 5.15pm), and a mark of 71 might be good enough to take this weak maiden.
200,000 Guineas Yearling by Invincible Spirit out of Alshakr and a half sister to winners Nafaath, Salhooda, Sufad and Ahaaly. Finished a keeping on but outpaced seventh on debut at Chelmsford last month and shaped like this stiffer track will suit. Unlikely to find a weaker maiden than this to get off the mark.
Fifth of nine on debut here in early September (over 6f), and not beaten too far in a race which Voice of Truth under-performed. Off since, and whilst open to improvement, a couple of others look likelier winners.
Forecasts
Shamrokh (8/13), Shabeeh (5/2), Life Won't Wait (8/1), The Bard's Advice (12/1), Billys Connoisseur (66/1), Night Shadow (80/1), Scannermandango (100/1)
A very weak maiden, in which the thoroughly exposed 71 rated Shabeeh just about sets the benchmark on form. However, expensive yearling SHAMROKH should be suited by this much stiffer track than Chelmsford, and appeals as the likeliest winner in terms of pedigree, price, connections and potential, with this three-year-old Invincible Spirit colt never likely to have a better chance than this to break the maiden tag.
1. Shamrokh
2. Shabeeh
3. Life Won't Wait
