Bought for just £800 and possibly had issues having not made it to the track before this point in his career. Distance looks about right and should go on the surface but the aforementioned concerns make him tough to fancy.

Virtually tailed off last time at this course and looked clueless coming out of the stalls. Needs plenty more here and trainer's strike-rate stands at just 6.6% around here.

Horse silk
100/1
Tailed off in two bumper starts at triple figure odds. Race fit but hard to fancy off the back of those two efforts and this trip likely to be on the sharp side. Trainer has only had one Flat winner from 56 runners.

Fast Landing11

10/11
Failed to show much on debut and wasn't without market support. Didn't break particularly well on that occasion and wasn't given a hard time when chance had gone. Likely to put up a better show here.

Cost 450,000 gns as a yearling and bred to go on this surface. Trainer has a respectable record with debutantes but they do generally come on plenty for their first run and this test looks sharp enough on the face of it.

Horse silk

Cost £20,000 as a yearling but showed very little on debut at triple figure odds and the trainers recruits generally get better with age.

First run for this yard but proved a little disappointing for previous connections and qualifies for a mark after this race so may well do better down the line.

River Warrior13
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: T Hamilton| T: R A Fahey

Trainer has a good strike rate with his newcomers but hasn't had many winning debutantes at this track. Drawn well and interesting to see what the market makes of him on debut.

Horse silk

Failed to show anything on debut last time and has a poor draw to contend with now. Trainer not known for his Flat winners.

Horse silk
50/1
Daughter of Monsieur Bond who's trainer is yet to have a first time out winner. This trip also looks like it may be just beyond what she's bred for so looks opposable all things considered.

(5)
Horse silk
20/1
Shirocco filly likely to want further than this in due course and trainer's runners usually do better with time.

Horse silk
13/2
Improved on debut effort when fourth of seven at Lingfield last time. Step up in trip should help but likely to do better in handicaps.

Forecasts

Fast Landing (10/11), Mystique Moon (2/1), Tai Hang Dragon (13/2), River Warrior (12/1), Easy Wind (20/1), Dibloam (33/1), Arabella Rose (50/1), Rebel Flame (66/1), Street Jester (100/1), Newton Heath (100/1), Way Up High (100/1), House Of Frauds (100/1)

18:45 Wolverhampton - 20 January 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The two Godolphin runners are likely to take a strong hand in this race with a narrow preference for FAST LANDING. The Raven's Pass gelding didn't go off without market support last time and rather ruined his chance from the stalls. He should have learned plenty from that experience and he's like to do better here. Charlie Appleby's runners usually come on plenty for their first run and Mystique Moon may want further than this but he rates as the main danger to his stablemate regardless. Any market support for River Warrior would be significant. 1. Fast Landing 2. Mystique Moon 3. River Warrior
