Dropping down to an attractive mark (now 2lb lower than for her last win) but she has been out of sorts lately. Her effort at Aintree on her penultimate start reads well in the context of this race but she was very disappointing when she was last seen in action. She has won the back of a long absence so is worth a cautionary look in the betting.
Weighted to her best and needs to brush off the memory of a poor effort at Kempton over Christmas. Closely matched with Theatre Goer but is not one to rely upon to uphold the form of their last encounter.
Stays well and is mainly consistent; she faces a tough test from a 16lb higher mark than for her solitary win over hurdles. However, she has a likeable attitude and is capable of throwing down a challenge at this level.
Reverts to hurdles after failing to complete in either of her last two starts over fences. She likes a good test of stamina but needs a confidence booster before she can be supported with any vigour.
Broke a long losing sequence at Cartmel during the summer but has been below par since then. However, she did show signs of a revival at Bangor earlier this month, so may have started to turn the corner. Sneaking suspicion that she may need to drop a little more in the weights though.
A lightly raced individual with a bit more scope than some of the rest. She has shown an aptitude for racing at Ludlow and may well relish stepping up in trip. One for the shortlist.
Likely this step up in trip suit and, as she has very few miles on the clock, she can be placed to good effect once she has confirmed her stamina. Has a bit to find with Midnight Target on a bits and pieces of form so possible she may have to settle for a minor role here..
Forecasts
Fille Des Champs (3/1), Midnight Target (10/3), Theatre Goer (9/2), Millicent Silver (11/2), Tambura (15/2), Cowslip (9/1), Grape Tree Flame (12/1)
An intriguing little race can go the way MIDNIGHT TARGET, who edges a narrow vote of confidence ahead of Fille Des Champs and Theatre Goer. The handicapper appears to be in charge of the rest but Tambura is worth noting for future refernce.
1. Midnight Target
