14/1
A winner of a mares standard open NHF race at Doncaster in January 2016 (Good), this mare was off the mark on just her second start over hurdles at Huntingdon in November (broke a blood vessel on hurdles debut in May). Whilst penalised here, and up marginally in trip she's returned in good order and knows how to win races.

Has an official rating of 128 so sets a decent standard. A winner of an Irish PTP, she twice ran well in mares NHF races for this yard, before being outclassed when finishing 11th of 17 to Kayf Grace at Aintree in April. Pushed clear by this rider at short odds on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter early last month, she lacked the pace to get on terms last time in a Listed contest at Taunton. Sets a good benchmark for the others to aim at here.
Promising debut when a half length runner upto Hitherjacques Lady at Cheltenham in April, but folded tamely when disappointing on return when fifth at Ffos Las in November. Made her hurdles debut last month over a longer trip at Ludlow (eighth of 12) and needs to do more here.

20/1
Hurdles debutant who has been placed twice in three of her NHF starts, but was a beaten odds on favourite in one of those races at Uttoxeter. Could do with settling better, and likely up against it on ratings here.

A winner of two PTP's who bypassed bumpers to go straight over hurdles for Rebecca Curtis. Sixth on her UK debut to the useful Colin's Sister, she again met an above average sort last time in finishing a distant third to Ballymalin at Ffos Las. Stamina proven on testing ground, with first time cheek-pieces applied.

12/1
Heavy ground winner of a small field PTP at Durrow in February 2016, this mare joined current connections for £18,000. Held up, she plugged on to finish fourth on her UK hurdles debut at Warwick on New Year's Eve and to all extents looks relatively slow.

Forecasts

Theatre Territory (4/9), Thegirlfrommilan (9/2), Wishicould (12/1), Miss Spent (14/1), Pearl Royale (20/1), Midnight Glory (25/1)

15:25 Newbury - 18 January 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Official ratings suggest that this should go the way of THEATRE TERRITORY, but a mark of 128 might over-estimate her true ability. Nevertheless, given her trainer and jockey combination and overall progressive profile, her claims are impossible to ignore with the battle hardened Miss Spent, and the dour staying Thegirlfrommilan likely to give her most to do. 1. Theatre Territory 2. Thegirlfrommilan 3. Miss Spent
