Very modest effort in first start under rules in a bumper at Down Royal on Boxing Day. Obviously has to improve on that but shaped up nicely in several point-to-point outings so not without some ability. More needed here though.
Related to winners on its dam's side (Champion Hurdle winner, Peddlers Cross, most notably) so bred to bred to appreciate at least the minimum distance.

Finished a well beaten second at Tipperary last time out. The form looks weak and he needs to step things up a couple of notches now.

Won a point-to-point at Loughrea before running a blinder to finish third in a bumper at Leopardstown last month. That was a solid performance and will be in the shake-up granted as similar effort today.

Well beaten on debut and, although stoutly-bred, he dropped out of contention too tamely to suggest he will be better for the outing over the minimum trip.
Cost €50,000 and has a solid pedigree (related to Gold Cup winner Jodami). Modest introduction for him but he can be expected to learn from the experience and go on from here.

Has made steady improvement so far but wouldn't want the ground to ease too much. Opposable on very soft ground.

A very cheap purchase that showed very little here in a bumper at the start of the year - not difficult to overlook on that evidence and others make far more appeal.

Gave his better fancied stablemate a good run for the money in a similar race at Down Royal last month. Showed plenty of promise there and has to merit consideration given his willing attitude on that occasion.

Cost €160,000 so has to be of interest on the price tag alone. His yard is in fine fettle just now and has found a weak race to introduce this fellow; so well worth noting in the betting.
Related to hurdles winner Where's The Dosh and is bred to appreciate at least a little cut in the ground. Trainer has had a few winners in point-to-points but yet to strike under rules this season.

Forecasts

Oakley Hall (5/2), Moyross (11/4), Mr Champers (3/1), Paloma Blue (6/1), Indrik (9/1), Psychedelic Rock (16/1), High Five Oscar (16/1), Penance (40/1), Castle Clyde (50/1), Valiant Vixen (66/1), Murder Mile (66/1)

16:00 Fairyhouse - 15 January 2017 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A modest end to the card but it still contains some expensive recruits to the Irish scene – none more so than Paloma Blue, who cost his connections €160,000. His yard is in good form so a bold effort can be expected. However, OAKLEY HALL has an equally valuable edge in terms of experience and edges the nomination this time around. Moyross is another to bear in mind if the market vibes are positive, while High Five Oscar has winners in his pedigree and is also worth noting as prospect for the future. 1. Oakley Hall 2. Paloma Blue 3. High Five Oscar
