Of obvious curiosity given his breeding and trainer's family connections. It'll be surprising if he doesn't pay his way in the winter game in due course. However, he looked a tad one-paced when asked for effort on his hurdles debut so a step up in distance might be in line before too long.

Modest on the Flat and was handed a very stiff task when thrown into the mix in a Grade 3 here last month. He was never a contender in that event and, given the fact he was also run out of sight in a maiden at Leopardstown at Christmas, others make more appeal today.
Fairly useful on the Flat but was still a maiden when purchased out of Ger Lyons yard for €38,000 last year. An interesting contender but probably best watched on his first start over obstacles.

Another who showed ability without winning during his time on the Flat. He never looked like he was going to alter that winless status when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown last month and will find this a similarly tough assignment.
Purchased cheaply out of Dermot Weld's yard and is being geared for a spring campaign in this new sphere. His dam is an influence for stamina but he was stone last on his only try at two miles on the Flat and, even though it was a Listed race at The Curragh, his tank emptied too quickly for him to be confident stayer in the making.

Didn't even get over the first flight on his hurdling debut and is too vague a prospect to expect a better effort here. (He was clobbered with too high a rating after he made a winning debut for Jim Bolger on the Flat - a hurdling career appears to be little more than an afterthought on face value.)

An expensive recruit from the Flat, his owners went to 155,00 Gns to secure his services. He has been found a weak opening to start paying back his training fees and is likely to be fine tuned for this hurdling bow.

The Stable's second-string judging by jockey bookings, but this fellow was useful in his own right during his time with Aidan O'Brien so should be given the respect of noting in the betting. Possible that he might need further now he has switched codes but a solid contender on profile alone nonetheless.

Has ability for the Jumping game but was an expensive favourite to follow last time out. He now has a bit to prove so may best watched here.

Not shown much in two starts over hurdles up to now - she may be better off contesting handicaps after this.

A chance on breeding but she lacks the experience held by many of the others and it will take a good effort for her to get off the mark at the first time of asking.

Caught the eye in defeat on hurdles debut in Cork last month. However, she failed to build on that last time out and, given her lowly ratings from the Flat, she is likely to find a few of these have too much toe for her to deal with.

Another who lost her way on the Flat and appears to be looking for redemption in the winter game. However, she lacks the appeal of a good number of her rivals and is overlooked for betting purposes this time around.

As she makes her debut for an in-form yard, this French-bred filly can be expected to handle the ground and can be expected to be primed for the run. The betting market will be the best way to gauge the expectations held of her today.

Having Davy Russell aboard a supposed stable second string would be a dream for many. However, the jockey will have to work a minor miracle if the form of her Irish debut is anything to go by. She is one to watch today, despite the attraction of the yard, jockey and connections combination.

Needs to post a much improved effort than the one she posted at Doncaster just after Christmas. She was very one-paced near the finish on that occasion and may find herself left behind if she registers a similar performance in this company.

Moeny often talks in racing and there's no getting away from the fact that MENGLI KHAN was a very expensive purchase and will be expected to deliver sooner rather than later. This is by no means a cakewalk but he may have too much toe for the likes of Successor and Ex Patriot, who are both respected but are not noted for a change of gear at the business end. However, A YEAR TO REMEMBER is also an interesting recruit from the Flat and might be worth a saver just in case the ground takes the edge off the main selection's chances. 1. Mengli Khan 2. A Year To Remember 3. Successor
