Course winner who was last seen back in July last year when fifth of seven in a Listed race at Chester and appears to hold all the aces here for a trainer who has an exceptional record on the all-weather; highest on ratings and holds strong claims.
C&D winner who has run consistently on the all-weather but has a fair bit to find on the figures; latest run could not have been a worse prep for this.
Comfortable enough victory last-time-out in a similar race at Wolverhampton and looks likely to be the one to give the Appleby-runner most to think about; is a C&D winner.
Nothing in her form to suggest this six-year-old can play a leading role here despite the weight she receives; all of her four victories have been over 6f, however.
Forecasts
Pretend (11/10), Spring Loaded (5/4), Golden Amber (14/1), Gentlemen (16/1), Related (40/1)
PRETEND looks to have a gilt-edged opportunity here to get back on the winning thread here having failed to get his head in front since taking the All-Weather Sprint at Lingfield on Good Friday. He has most to fear from Paul D'Arcy's Spring Loaded who is clearly on good terms with himself judging by the manner of his recent obliteration of a similar race at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day. That particular form is solid enough but it is fully expected that the Godolphin-runner may possess much more armoury at the business end and land this prize.
1. Pretend
2. Spring Loaded
3. Golden Amber
