Runs under a six pound penalty for last weeks Newcastle classified stakes success. Got the run of the race there (third unlucky), but twice a runner up on this surface, so a versatile and consistent sort.
Muddling winter campaign with course claiming stakes third sandwiched between runs over fences and hurdles. Capable performer over the years, but others preferred here.
Blinkers have worked a treat the last twice, runner upto a progressive sort over 1m6f, before dropping back to 1m3f and keeping on strongly to see off 14 rivals here last month under Ben Curtis. Up 7lbs, but promises to relish another furlong here.
Emphatic winner over this trip at Lingfield last week, and potentially well treated under a 6lb penalty. Third on all three starts on this surface (in small field events). Obvious chance is adapting to the surface.
Ex Irish (Dundalk winner at this trip for John Oxx). Dropped 7lbs for two starts over shorter trips for this trainer last month, and switch to this surface, coupled with step up in trip means he's of interest.
Leicester winner in August, but beaten only a couple of rivals home on his last two starts (last of nine last time) and needs to show more on Fibresand debut.
Formerly with Ed Walker, and runner up at Wolverhampton (7f) on stable debut in December 2015. Back from a year off last month at a lowly level and ventures beyond 1m2f for the first time on Fibresand debut.
Forecasts
Come Back King (11/10), L'Inganno Felice (11/4), Karam Albaari (15/2), My Fantasea (8/1), The Lock Master (16/1), Glorious Asset (25/1), Vercingetorix (25/1), Cornelious (25/1)
Plenty of in-form rivals take each other on here, with L'Inganno Felice and Karam Albaari turned out quickly under six pound penalties. The former got the run of the race at Newcastle, whilst the latter needs to prove a versatility for Fibresand. My Fantasea has a fascinating profile and could be thrown in here now stepping back upto 1m4f, but preference is for COME BACK KING who has been revitalised for the application of blinkers and despite a seven pound rise can be counted on to perform on this surface. He will relish this extra furlong with Tom Marquand taking over from Ben Curtis in the saddle.
1. Come Back King
2. My Fantasea
3. L'inganno Felice
