Won a valuable Newbury handicap over 2m on soft last year but has not been seen since disappointing at Ayr in April. Trainer has a good record at the distance but not with horses returning from a break and others preferred.
Improved to run a cracker when finishing a strong second to Frodon in a valuable Grade 3 handicap at Cheltenham last time, despite being hampered, and carries just 1lb more here.
Rarely out of the places and with a trainer who has a strong record at the track, he has to be considered.
Represents a trainer/jockey combination who excel at the track. After a good effort to finish runner up at Aintree he seemed to go backwards at Newbury last time and would need to put that run behind him to hold any chance.
Strong trainer/jockey stats and was a good winner at Newbury in November. However, this is a step up in grade and he must get over being brought down last time.
The trainer/jockey combination have yet to have a chase win from 18 attempts at the course. However, almost bucked that trend over C&D last time. This is though a step up and he carries 6lb more than his highest winning mark.
Represents an in form trainer/jockey combination who do well at the track. He lacks experience over fences and this is only his third chase start but he looks a good prospect who is heading in the right direction. With a fluent round of jumping, he could take all the beating.
Dropped in trip after being pulled up here last time over 3m but he is poorly handicapped and overlooked this time.
Forecasts
Aso (6/5), Drumlee Sunset (11/2), On Tour (6/1), Tornado In Milan (7/1), Ultragold (8/1), Grey Gold (9/1), One For The Boss (25/1)
DRUMLEE SUNSET offers more scope than his rivals and has looked to be a good prospect in his two chases to date with a first and second place. However, he was sketchy at some of his fences and will need to improve his jumping against some more experienced chasers. Any cracks in the selections armour would surely be exposed by the likeable Aso who is in great form and rarely runs a bad race whilst Ultragold represents a strong yard and will be looking to consign his latest mishap to history.
1. Drumlee Sunset
2. Aso
3. Ultragold
