Horse silk
100/1
He is highly tried on his second run over fences. He may want the ground faster than this and his form over hurdles suggests he has a lot to find.
His form over hurdles gives him a chance. He needs to improve on his first two starts over the larger obstacles. His stable companion makes more appeal.

15/2
His stable are in good form but he was rated behind these over hurdles. He has been well beaten in two starts over fences and has a bit to find on form.

He has shown nothing so far to suggest he is up to competing at this level. Easy to oppose.

15/8
He was the clear pick of these over hurdles. He showed a lack of confidence on his chasing debut at Newbury last month and at the likely odds he is worth opposing, particularly as his stable are going through a quite spell at the moment.
He showed a fair level of form over hurdles. He has made an encouraging start to his chasing career. The trip today will be more to his liking. His stable are in good form and do well with their chasers here.

Work In Progress13

7/1
He was flattered by his proximity to the winner here last time. His jumping that day was far from fluent. He is unproven over today's trip. He represents a top yard and has to be respected but others are preferred.

Forecasts

Vintage Clouds (13/8), One Track Mind (15/8), Work In Progress (7/1), Gully's Edge (15/2), Delusionofgrandeur (17/2), Banny's Lad (100/1), Needless Shouting (250/1)

13:20 Catterick - 13 December 2016 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

VINTAGE CLOUDS has always looked a chaser in the making. He should improve today for the step up in trip having done nothing wrong in his first two start over fences against useful opposition. Work in Progress is sure to have been well schooled following his debut over fences here last month. He rates a danger as does One Track Mind. The latter made an early mistake at Newbury last time and was never travelling well thereafter. He could leave that run well behind here but at the likely arts odds he is a risky proposition. 1. Vintage Clouds 2. Work In Progress 3. One Track Mind
