Bounced back to best when winning 16-runner handicap hurdle at Listowel (18f, good to soft) with this rider aboard but below form when not fluent over fences last time. Worth another chance reunited with Jody Townend back over hurdles.

Well backed to win maiden hurdle on latest hurdle start (April 2024). In good heart over fences of late, 7/2, respectable fourth of 11 in handicap chase at Navan (20.6f, heavy) 13 days ago and one to note for support back over hurdles.

Shaped with promise in maiden hurdles but was likely unsuited by the drop in trip on reappearance when thirteenth of 26 in novice hurdle at Navan (16f, heavy) 21 days ago. Back up in trip for handicap hurdle debut and ought to be closer to form here.

Better than ever when landing back-back-back 2½m chases on testing ground last winter but below form when bidding for hat-trick at Limerick in March. Likely needed his comeback in a Cork handicap hurdle last time and not discounted off significantly lower hurdle mark if back on song.

Won 2½m handicap at Fairyhouse in February (soft) and backed it up when second at Navan. Not in same form (without headgear) on comeback over fences last month but better expected with cheekpieces refitted and a run under his belt.

Lightly-raced maiden who was suited by the emphasis on stamina when second of 24 in handicap hurdle (12/1) at Cork (20f, soft) 20 days ago. That was just about a career-best but he'll need to pull out more in a better race.

Landed sole success in a course handicap (22.7f) last season and improved again with third at Naas. Gambled on when well held over fences at Wexford last time but goes well fresh and could make a bold bid back over hurdles.

Best effort to date when runner-up on reappearance at Fairyhouse (20.5f, soft) last month. Possibly found quick turnaround against him when 7/2, below form thirteenth of 21 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (20.8f, heavy) 44 days ago. Given a short break and too soon to dismiss.

In contention when falling 2 out on point debut (race has produced winners under Rules) prior to finishing well held fourth. Looks to have been brought along gradually under Rules and may well improve now sent handicapping by capable yard.

The market should prove particularly informative here and it may pay to take a chance on KANOG BAY whose debut run in points (in contention when falling 2 out) offers hope that he can defy a basement opening mark on handicap debut. Course winner Aleish Lass was unable to land a gamble last time but looks worth another chance returned to hurdles, while Chosen Diamond, Ollie La Ba Ba and Torps all have claims in an open-looking race.
